Oct 11, 2026 · Google ReviewKennedy at the front desk is an irreplaceable asset to this hotel!!! What an amazing host. We felt right at home, welcomed, the valet gentlemen were also soooo sweet. The rooms were clean, and super comfortable. Only a little old smelling at first and a bit of degeneration in the corners of the bathrooms but otherwise, a PERFECT stay! Right in the heart of gorgeous Savannah! The house keeping also left some nice little touches. We will definitely be back.
Oct 8, 2026 · Google Review⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What truly made our hotel experience exceptional was Kennedy at the Front Desk. As a Director in the resort industry, I have spent years around hospitality professionals, and I can recognize genuine talent, presence, and service excellence very quickly. Kennedy is one of the best Front Desk agents I have encountered. She didn’t simply check us in—she created an experience. She remembered us by name, anticipated our needs, made us feel genuinely welcomed, and by the end of our stay, it felt as though we had known her forever. That level of hospitality cannot be taught from a script. It comes from emotional intelligence, authenticity, attention to detail, and a true passion for people. Hotels can have beautiful rooms and great amenities, but team members like Kennedy are what guests remember. She made a significant difference in our stay and is exactly the type of talent every hospitality organization should recognize, develop, and retain. Kennedy, thank you for reminding us what five-star hospitality truly feels like.

Oct 3, 2026 · Google ReviewKennedy is why I’ll stay at Hotel Orielle again. I’m a single woman traveling alone, and from the second I checked in, Kennedy, the Assistant General Manager, acted genuinely THRILLED that I had arrived. Mind you, this woman had never seen my name until she was checking me in, yet somehow I walked away feeling like we were supposed to be best friends. 😂 I’ll probably never see her again, but that kind of presence sticks with you. I mentioned I was meeting my college roommate, who I hadn’t seen in years, for dinner across the street at Untitled. Kennedy immediately lit up because apparently it’s one of her favorite restaurants too. Gave her favorite sushi recs and a secret menu items worth of requesting (the waygu and truffle topped pizza, because I don’t gatekeep). Halfway through dinner, two ridiculously special martinis show up with ART on top, personally delivered by the owner. “Those are from Kennedy at Hotel Orielle.” EXCUSE ME?! WHAT?! This woman had known me approximately five minutes. Also, upon check-in, my room had a fruit plate waiting for me thanking me for my stay. So clearly Kennedy isn’t the only one around here participating in the hospitality Olympics. I used to live in the South before moving back to Kansas City in December 2022, and this is exactly what I miss. Southern hospitality is alive and well at Hotel Orielle, and it reminded me how much I yearn for it when I stay almost anywhere else. The hotel itself recently transitioned from The Bohemian, where I’d stayed before. My description of the new look is posh Gothic Savannah. Dark, moody, sexy, luxurious. It feels like they leaned into Savannah’s history and the mysterious side of the city you hear about on ghost tours, but made it expensive, not kitschy. The art, the smells, the entire atmosphere work. Stephen at valet was also phenomenal, as were his coworkers and the rooftop manager. People remembered me, greeted me, asked how my day was going and wished me a great weekend as I headed off to Hilton Head to see more old friends. Those small interactions matter. Now for my one little nudge because this hotel has the potential to be REALLY good. Hotel Orielle doesn’t yet have some of the extra touches you’ll find at other higher-end Savannah hotels. The Alida, for example, has water stations on every other floor and actual glasses of champagne at check-in. Those little things create an experience beyond simply having a beautiful room. Those hotels also cost considerably more. But I do think I think it adding a little something of the sort it would help. Maybe expanding the check-in area with more amenities or carving out part of a floor could move the needle? And I was hoping the transition from The Bohemian would bring a little more personality to the rooftop itself. The Bohemian ownership never quite nailed that part either. Maybe worth a few notes from places like Peregrin or Myrtle & Rose and make the lounging areas feel like somewhere you want to settle in for hours, not just somewhere you go because the view is incredible. Because that view on top of Orielle IS incredible. For sunset, Rocks on the Roof is still one of the best rooftop views in Savannah. You’re high above the river looking toward the sunset side, and it is hard to beat. Hotel Orielle already has the location, the view, the sexy new aesthetic and, most importantly, the people. Give the rooftop a little more soul and add a few more luxury hospitality touches, and this place is going to be a monster. Kennedy, though? Protect that woman at all costs. Last…. I see what they’re doing at the top bar. Like adding karaoke and more engaging activities at the top. But the karaoke was god awful and there needs to be some kind of parameters of what type of music customers are able to choose from…. Butchered heavy metal really was killing my vibe. not bad enough to not stay tho.
