It was Awesome African American History. Learned alot will do another one. Ms. Pat was so amazing tell the stories for me the most touching thing was her singing it really touch me. She was a blessing to me. It's so much of historical in Savannah GA it's amazing. There's plaques and more statues to come of African Americans history 👏👏👏❤💗💖

This monument was absolutely captivating and breathtaking. I appreciate this tribute to what my ancestors experienced. The placement of this monument couldn’t be better considering is right along side the river that was constructed in the Middle Passage Era and thus brought slaves into Savannah. Wow—chilling!

There is absolutely no way to really comprehend the tragedy that slavery was, and the ongoing effects with us today. The monument was the first recognition of that. We did go to other sights and learned much more about this sad history.
