I only took a star off because those in my party didn't feel their entree was well seasoned, but mine was! I had the filet mignon with couscous and truffle fries. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and all the appetizers we tried. It's a really cute and quaint place with many options to suit a variety of tastes.

We had a great dinner here, from the service, to the cocktails to the dessert, it was all perfect. We sat outside on a gorgeous June evening. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable with great recommendations. The cocktails were great- did not skimp on the pours. The scallops were PERFECT, flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband loved the flounder as well. The peach trio was SO good, the cheesecake was the best of the 3 but they were all good. Pricing is fair for the quality. If you can walk here, do it as parking is limited. Restrooms were clean. Would definitely eat here again.

I had another fantastic birthday lunch. Wes was an outstanding server who made our experience even better with his professionalism and kindness. We had Oysters Rockefeller, crab bisque, the beet and feta salad our main dish was seared scallops over risotto and for dessert a flourless chocolate torte. Everything was perfectly executed and we enjoyed every bite. Ive celebrated two birthdays here and they know how to make it special each time. I'll definitely return anytime I'm in Savannah!!

Vic's on the River is a great spot to get your seafood fix and scratch your southern cuisine itch. It sits right on the river front, giving you great views of the giant container ships heading out to sea, as well as views of the historic streets. We started our meal with the fried green tomatoes, which were bright, fresh, and light tasting. They were topped with goat cheese, tomato chutney, and balsamic, which made them have a great tang, but they were kind of acid on acid on acid. They really needed a fatty cream component to contrast like a remoulade or something similar. They were served with cheddar grits, but they weren't really something you could coat the tomatoes with. I got the prime ribeye, which had a nice flame grilled char and was served with cowboy butter. I asked for medium rare, and it was cooked correctly. My wife got the striped bass which was generously portioned and tender and flaky. Our server was friendly and attentive. Overall we were pleased with Vic's and thought they had an interesting menu. Just be aware that Vic's River Grill is a separate restaurant that is located down on the river walk. Vic's on the River is the restaurant located a few floors above in the same building.

Wow where do I even start. I came here yesterday at about 2:15 with my father and boyfriend for a late lunch, early dinner and we absolutely enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was beyond amazing and extremely knowledgeable. My father had gotten the blueberry espresso martini to start and said it was perfect and absolutely flavorful. I had inquired about trying their oyster special that was offered and our waitress gathered all details I had asked about the oysters as I was reluctant to try them due to the season but her amazing boss on schedule allowed me to try one to assure the flavor and quality was good. It was absolutely delicious so of course we got a dozen oysters to start, all of which were phenomenal and had a clean taste and not gritty in texture whatsoever. They were perfectly clean and the onion vinaigrette with the lemon was just beyond amazing to pair with the oysters. We had then gotten the shrimp and grits, catfish and grits and the daily special- a steak sandwich which an onion jus and fries and everything was just perfect. The catfish was flakey and moist and the sauce and grits was perfect. My boyfriend’s steak sandwich was melt in your mouth amazing and incredibly well seasoned and he loved the jus so much he was dipping everything in it! The shrimp grits I had ordered was amazing, I can’t even put it into words. It was filling but in all the right ways. All the components in the meal balanced everything out. The crunch from the corn with the tomato over the grits was just amazing, and the smoked sausage with shrimp was just so good. We were full by the end of it but couldn’t say no to an order of the Creme brûlée for dessert. I’m so glad we got it because man that was also just beyond amazing. The flambéed sugar was done perfectly and the soft custard like crème was so delicious, you could see and taste the vanilla bean in it. My boyfriend had said the fresh fruit was so good and perfectly ripe. To say we had the best meal is an understatement. Between the great service and phenomenal meal, we had the best time. Our waitress never rushed us and was genuinely so happy to serve us and enjoyed seeing how much we enjoyed our meal. We certainly will be back to try more items off the menu.
