If you’re walking River Street in Savannah and need a sweet escape from the Georgia heat, make sure you stop by River Street Sweets. The second you walk in, the smell of fresh pralines, caramel, and chocolate hits you like a warm Southern hug. Watching them make candy right in front of you adds to the whole experience, and the free praline samples should honestly be considered a public service. Their homemade ice cream is perfect on a hot day, and the pralines are absolutely worth the hype. Everything tastes fresh, rich, and dangerously addictive. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. It’s one of those classic Savannah spots that feels nostalgic and fun at the same time. Whether you’re cooling off with ice cream or grabbing sweets to take home, this place is a must-stop on River Street. Savannah without River Street Sweets just wouldn’t feel right.

River Street Sweets is such a fantastic place that I would guess that other people are like me -- the whole experience will stay with me for the rest of my life. The candy? Incredibly wonderful. The service? Second to none. The atmosphere? A dream come true.

I had the impression that the store was bigger than expected and got so much attention from tourists that it now doesn't have enough room to fit all its visitors. Fortunately, that doesn't take away its charm and uniqueness among other candy stores in the region. The mango sorbet was amazing.

Came down to Savannah for a couple nights. We wanted some sweet tooth products. So we came to river street sweets and boy, did they not disappoint. They had the biggest rice krispie, treat on a pop dipped with chocolate peanuts and Reese's pieces and mnm's, Oreos. I could go on forever. This place is great. I took one to go had it later and I had nothing but smiles as you can see in the picture.
