My dog and I had a great time at this hotel! There was construction outside the building and the elevator to the suites is currently out of order. But the staircase is right next to the working elevator and it’s only half a flight of stairs up or down to the suites. Plus, they waived the pet fee and comped my breakfast! I also didn’t notice construction noise because I wasn’t in the room during the day. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was super clean, the double shower heads were a nice surprise, and the shrimp and grits were delicious. The location is excellent. Overall, great time and I would definitely return!
Feb 26, 2026 · Google ReviewThis hotel is perfectly located, with easy access to everything in the area. One of the first things that impressed me was the welcome drink coin given to guests upon arrival. It immediately added to the excitement and atmosphere of being on vacation. The bartender at the welcome drink bar was fantastic. I'm actually very sensitive to alcohol and usually can't drink much, but the cocktails she made were so well-balanced and delicious that I could easily have had more than one. Her skills were truly impressive. The room itself was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Another thoughtful touch that stood out to me was that the hotel provides complimentary ice water infused with fruit and lemon throughout the day for all guests, regardless of whether breakfast is included with their stay. It may seem like a small detail, but little gestures like this make a big difference. Since this was my first time visiting the area, perhaps I noticed these things even more, but I was genuinely touched by the hotel's attention to detail and hospitality. It's the kind of place that makes you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Jun 22, 2026 · Google ReviewAfter having 8.2 million people read my reviews, I am excited to share my experience once again. My wife took me to Savannah, GA, as part of my birthday celebration. We stayed at the Indigo Hotel located in the heart of the historic district, near Savannah’s famed River Walk. From the time that we arrived, until the time we left, this hotel and staff made us feel like we were at our home away from home. We were greeted with a smile, and our smile became even wider, when we walked inside of our fourth floor suite, which was nestled in just the right location so that we could see the beautiful Savannah River and the historic bridge, which was lit up in a soothing red glow at night. The suite included a spacious walk-in shower, with quality toiletries, two televisions, a sofa, refrigerator, sink, and a very comfortable king sized bed, just to name a few of the amenities. My wife and I were blessed to have met Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District's Director of Sales Mrs. Kai Williams during our stay, and I can tell you that the IHG Corporation needs to do all they can to keep her on staff. She was very knowledgeable about everything Savannah! She recommended many local businesses that we should patronize, which was very helpful to us, as we navigated our way around the city. You could just tell that she knew what she was doing, especially how she interacted with staff and other customers. To sum it up, we’ve never been treated so kindly, by anyone, like we were treated by Mrs. Williams, since we’ve been coming to Savannah the past 30 years. I recommend that you try this place out the next time you’re in Savannah!
Jun 12, 2026 · Google ReviewWe had an absolutely amazing experience at Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District in Savannah! Chef Thomas truly outdid himself. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The surf and turf was outstanding, with perfectly prepared steak and seafood that paired beautifully together. And the dessert bar? Completely off the chain. Every option was fresh, creative, and delicious — the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. From the food to the atmosphere, everything made for a fantastic evening. Highly recommend for a special night out. We’ll definitely be back!
Feb 15, 2026 · Google ReviewMost of the front desk staff came across as unfriendly and inattentive. There were several instances when no one was present at the desk for extended periods, and check-in took about 10–15 minutes because of this. Breakfast was also disappointing, as it did not include all the items listed on the menu for the dishes we ordered. Coffee got cold before they served me warm milk. While a few employees were hardworking and did their best, others did not seem to contribute equally, which negatively impacted the overall guest experience. Management should address these service issues. That said, the hotel does have its positives. The location is excellent, rooms were clean, and the lobby, bar, and restaurant areas were well maintained. The bartenders were particularly great. However, the hallways near the rooms were not cleaned frequently, and the old carpeting made them appear dirty. The bathrooms in the rooms were somewhat small, with the sink located outside the bathroom. Since most part of the hotel is by a busy road, sleep was often disturbed with passing by vehicles. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but there are definitely areas that need improvement.
