As Savannah locals, my husband and I wanted a special, private local retreat to prepare for our wedding and celebrate our first night as newlyweds. We spent the night before and the night of our wedding at the McMillan Inn, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding weekend. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. The property itself is absolutely stunning, and the Madison Square room was breathtaking—the perfect, picturesque backdrop for getting ready on the big day. Phenomenal Hosts: The hosts are incredibly kind, welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable about the area. Above-and-Beyond Service: We had some last-minute anxiety about the wedding weather. Without hesitation, the hosts stepped in to help us brainstorm backup plans, and they even made the phone calls and arrangements on our behalf just in case. Though we didn't end up needing the backup plans, their willingness to take that stress off our shoulders meant the world to us. Delicious, Safe Dining: The home-cooked breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious. As someone with a gluten allergy, I am always a little nervous traveling, but they completely accommodated my dietary needs and made sure I was wonderfully well-fed. They were accommodating in every sense of the word. Whether you are traveling to Savannah from afar or you are a local looking for a hospitable, luxury retreat, we cannot recommend the McMillan Inn highly enough. We will cherish the memories of our stay here forever! -The Flummerfelts
Jul 20, 2026 · Google ReviewWow! What an amazing 4 day/3 night stay! The inn is stunning! We stayed in the Madison Square garden level room with pool view and patio over the 250 anniversary of American/4th of July holiday. The room is HUGE and a mix of modern blended with old. So pretty! The hosts Eric and Melissa felt like family 🙂 True southern hospitality! Met a lot of very nice couples, too 💕 Breakfasts were outstanding 10/10. We stay at B&Bs frequently and this is one of our favorites! We will be back 💯. Thank you Eric and Melissa for making our vacation so special!
Jul 5, 2026 · Google ReviewSuch a WONDERFUL place to stay! The room was clean and quiet and the location is perfect! Just off the main streets enough to be quiet, but still very convenient to walk everywhere. Close to Kroger if you need to get to the store and extremely safe. I can't say enough wonderful things about the owners, and all of the staff. They were so friendly and accommodating. the breakfast every morning was incredible and the tea and treats available all day long was an added bonus. We'll definitely be back!
May 6, 2026 · Google ReviewFrom reservation , to check in, to check out the staff was friendly, professional, very southern hospitable. The hosts were immaculate, So knowledgeable of the town. Each morning they served a fresh new breakfast. Delicious. Each morning also had fruit parfaits with yogurt and granola. Fresh juices, water and coffee available throughout the day. The courtyard with the pool was adorable. Felt like an Italian villa. I stayed in the Oglethorpe room which was conveniently located on the terrace level, easy access to parking. It was spacious and beautiful. Lovely en-suite. Will stay here again if ever in town!!
Jun 6, 2026 · Google ReviewThe McMillan is excellent and you should book it immediately. One of the owners was chatting with another guest about their travels and places that felt like home, and the owner said “well, you can consider this your home in Savannah,” and that is exactly how they make you feel! The house is gorgeous and comfortable at the same time. Much of historic Savannah is very ‘look but don’t touch’ for purposes of historical preservation, but at the McMillan you are eating, sleeping, and lounging on the beautiful antique furniture. Speaking of eating, their daily breakfast includes something sweet (think cherry cobbler, peach crisp, etc), and those were some of the best sweets we had in Savannah! The staff is genuinely friendly and happy to share their city with you. When we mentioned an early departure time on the day we left, they offered to wrap up a to-go breakfast for us, which is the level of care and attention they bring to everything. We look forward to returning to Savannah and would be happy to stay here again!
