We stayed at the Bellwether house for 2 days and 2 nights. My wife and I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. For our first experience, it was great time. Highlights! After checking in, they had "Tea and snacks" at 4. The employee (Paul), served us tea and a tower of snacks (more than enough to be considered a meal). At 6, they have more drinks and snacks. Obviously, in the morning at 8, they served a wonderful breakfast. The two employees, Paul (was amazing, nice and wonderful), and Cobi (very nice and helpful). The Bed and Breakfast is located near Forsythe park in downtown historic Savanah. Its close to a trolly stop so we could easily ride the trolly to shops, museums and restaurants. The bedroom was very clean, nice and extremely comfortable. This was an incredibly cared for home and I can not say enough positive about how impressed I was.
Jul 29, 2026 · Google ReviewAs others have noted, the property itself is beautiful. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms and showers are very nice, and the location, about a mile south of the River Walk, is right in the heart of the historic district. That said, not everyone working at the property seemed focused on delivering a high-end guest experience. On our last day, a manager was sitting at the front desk listening to a conference call on speakerphone at a volume so loud that I could hear it from upstairs with the door closed. I simply can't imagine how anyone would think that behavior is appropriate in a luxury hotel environment. On a positive note, Paul was outstanding. He clearly understands hospitality and made our stay feel special. He is exactly the type of employee guests remember. Another issue was the loading and unloading area behind the hotel. The space is already limited, and the situation was made worse by employees using some of the available parking spots. Those spaces should be reserved for guests arriving and departing with luggage. Overall, this is a lovely property with a great location and attractive accommodations. However, despite its strengths, I did not feel the experience justified the $592 per night rate
Jun 13, 2026 · Google ReviewThe Bellwether is spectacular!! Very walkable to many attractions, restaurants, and parks. Scarlett was an amazing host, the breakfast, high tea and champagne toast everyday was a surprising treat! Our room was very comfortable and the air conditioning felt so good in the hot summer weather. You will not be disappointed staying at the Bellwether. It made our Savannah experience a definite 5 star experience. We will definitely be back to visit!!
