Found this place when doing some research on where to stay for our first trip to Savannah. I was pleasantly surprised! Going in, I tried not to have high expectations, but the room was lovely and the location was fantastic! Although a little far from downtown and the riverwalk (about 26-30 min walk), the ubers were cheap (about $10) and worth it for when we had reservations to make or were just so exhausted. Staff were lovely and breakfast included. It's definitely not the fanciest place like the bardo hotel down the street, but it was perfect for us and just what we were looking for! Loved the double sink and king size bed in the captains room. We would definitely stay here again. Great price compared to others closer to downtown. We honestly enjoyed the walking (get to see more that way). Right across the Forsyth park for the Saturday morning farmer's/artist market with a coffee shop down the street!

Such an adorable and beautiful place to stay. The staff was very attentive and kind. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the house was amazing. Breakfast each morning was also good-could be heavier on the portions, and have more veggie options, but was freshly made and nicely presented. The location is good-a bit far from downtown, but in a nicer, quieter part of Savannah. Would definitely go back again!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Catherine Ward House Inn, and it truly made our visit to Savannah feel special. The accommodations were absolutely lovely—beautifully maintained, comfortable, and full of the kind of charm you hope for in a historic home. What really set this stay apart, though, was the staff. Every interaction felt thoughtful and genuine. They were engaged, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do. From offering helpful suggestions to making sure every detail of our stay was just right, they went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcomed the moment you arrive and a little sad to leave. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, memorable stay in Savannah.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is literally steps from Forsyth Park. Lynn and Rebekah make the best breakfast with fantastic presentation’s . Sam’s chocolate chip cookies are the best! Sonja knew of a need we had in transportation and volunteered to help us. Thank you Sonja! All in all it was a good experience. We recommend The Catherine Ward House.

Being on the corner of Forsyth Park makes this location perfect. So easy to walk most places. We did uber to the river as it was 1.3 miles. Breakfasts were amazing. Our room was very large, bed super comfortable. Highly recommend Catherine Ward House!
