I need more stars! We had a lovely stay at the carriage house. Beautiful historic property. Can't wait to come back next year. The owner, Monique was very attentive to our needs. Pet friendly too!
Feb 10, 2024 · Google ReviewThis was a perfect place that my wife and I could ever ask for. And, this was our first time to really visit Savannah. In fact, this was our Honey Moon! We stayed at the "Chatham Suite" which overlooks the gorgeous Chatham Square in Savannah, GA. This was a two story rental with privacy (with two balconies to eat or sit), kitchen, two Fireplaces, wonderful Bathroom, and upstairs bedroom with it's own fireplace. Love the fact that you can call in when to have the custom brunch delivered to the suite. And, I like that my wife and I could have a private meal (which other bed and breakfast places have you eat with a group at a certain time). This was the best place for our Honey Moon to be at. I am so glad that we had chosen Armstrong Inn for this.
Sep 4, 2022 · Google ReviewWe stayed in the Carriage House for 3 nights. They brought breakfast, cooked by the owner Monique Armstrong, to our townhouse every morning. We enjoyed fresh croissants in hollandaise sauce, pastries, and homemade waffles with chantilly cream. When they cleaned the rooms, the staff left fresh fruit and dessert in the fridge. It was very private and secluded yet Forsythe Park and the heart of the historic district were about a 10 minute walk away. Best of all, they welcomed us with our pup, Fran, often with a milkbone. The walls were adorned with the paintings of the owner, William Armstrong, and added a personal touch. We had a magical and romantic weekend in Savannah and hope to come back and stay at the Inn.
Jul 30, 2017 · Google ReviewMy daughter, husband and I spent 5 nights at the Tattnall House over Christmas. Such a treat! The house dates to the 1850s, is two bedrooms and one bath upstairs; kitchen, dining room, living room downstairs with small walled garden off the kitchen. We felt so at home! It is lovely and cozy and somehow imbued with familiarity; we felt we lived there! It is situated in the heart of the Southern Historic District - walking distance to the river, Forsyth Park, shopping on Broughton and all the "Squares". We found a great coffee house - the Sentient Bean - on the southern end of Forsyth Park that we walked to almost daily. The staff came every day to clean and bring fresh pastries, fruit, milk, juice, cakes, eggs and treats. We are vegetarians so didn't partake of the bacon, but it was also available! There was a decanter of sherry in the main room and a bottle of wine in the kitchen when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked and we had fun making fresh pizza and homemade ice cream (we did bring the ice cream maker with us!). They welcome well behaved pets, so we brought our 11 year old Lab cross with us who enjoyed Savannah as much, if not more, than we did; it is a very dog friendly city. We fell in love with Savannah, and Armstrong Inns Tattnall House was the ideal place to experience all it's charms.
