We stayed right in the heart of downtown Savannah for a quick one-night trip, and this hotel turned out to be the perfect base for exploring. The absolute best part was being within easy walking distance of the riverfront walk, great local shopping, and tons of delicious restaurants. • The front desk staff was incredibly knowledgeable and honest right from the moment we checked in. • They transparently pointed out that we could skip the valet fee by using an adjacent multi-story covered public garage, which saved us a lot of money. • It was a breeze to plan our day right from the lobby thanks to a convenient local ticket desk that helped us map out the historic district's top spots. • Our room wasn't massive, which is pretty standard for a historic downtown location, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable night. • You definitely shouldn't skip a trip up to the rooftop pool area since the panoramic city views from up there are absolutely spectacular. • The complimentary hot breakfast buffet downstairs is surprisingly good and has plenty of quick options to fuel up before a heavy day of walking. • It is a fantastic, worry-free spot to drop your bags if you are traveling as a couple or taking a weekend getaway with the kids.

Great hotel and location for exploring savannah! More here to see than first anticipated, it's right near the lovely river street. Rooms are clean and very comfortable bed! There's a lovely sunset view from the pool area. Staff super friendly and lovely, we had a great stay!. Also drinks and breakfast were included and lots of choice to get you started for the day

The Holiday Inn Express Savannah- historic district has always been our go to hotel to stay at while our daughter was attending SCAD these last four years. We are always impressed with the location, accommodations and staff. We recently stayed here to attend SCAD’s graduation events and as usual we were very impressed. From the minute we parked our car with Tianna, to check in with Wanda we felt relaxed and calm during a hectic time for our family. We booked two rooms for our large group and both rooms were clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was just enough and the staff running it kept things full, hot and the tables were always clean. I’d like to especially thank Tianna for helping us with our large van we drove from Pennsylvania as we were also moving our daughter out as well. Tianna’s smile and southern hospitality assured us our rental car would be safe and accessible. She gave us time to unload all our luggage and checked over the car before she parked it. She answered all our questions and went above and beyond. Another person I’d like to thank is Wanda at the front desk. Her beautiful personality made us feel welcome as soon as we entered the lobby. With our large party we had a few requests and Wanda helped to make them all happen. Wanda helped make a busy, hectic, emotional event for our family go smoothly and I wanted to make sure I recognized her and thanked her for all of her help. We hope to return to Savannah soon and when we do this will be our hotel.
