The Drayton is wonderful. The location is perfect for sightseeing. It’s located minutes walking distance away from almost everything. The staff is super friendly and helpful especially Clifford the Valet. I can’t sing this young man’s praises enough. He is respectful, courteous, helpful, the list goes on. If he’s not employee of the month every month and in line for a promotion and a raise he should be. The he rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and the lighting is geared toward relaxation. The hotel does have room service even though the internet says it doesn’t. The coffee is excellent down stairs and St Neo’s is comfortable and the food is good, and the menu is limited, but that doesn’t matter since there are excellent restaurants within 5 min walk of the hotel. Overall our experience was amazing. We love the Drayton, and its Art Deco design, and will stay again next time we are in Savannah.
Jun 20, 2026 · Google ReviewBooked this hotel last minute, and when I say last minute I mean like right down to the second. They were so nice and pleasant to speak to, accommodating on the phone (as we were late to check in) the lobby is so pretty and full of color, the rooms are also the same. Giving a very comfortable vibe. Everything is clean and smells wonderful. And the location is the best, right in the middle of all history and shopping, and just a 3 minute walk to the river, which is a romantic spot to walk up and down with a partner. Dining on site which is convenient, amazing coffee in the rooms.
Apr 28, 2026 · Google ReviewMy husband and I stayed at the Drayton back in September and loved it so much, we had our wedding on the rooftop last weekend. The decor is so warm and inviting, the rooms are perfection (those wide plank floors!) and the service outstanding. Joy, Peter, Joseph, and Summer helped create the most wonderful evening rooftop party for us, even our guests complimented the space, the attentiveness and the stunning views from the best rooftop in Savannah. Perfect location to walk anywhere in the city with a coffee from the little coffee shop inside. We adore this hotel and are beyond satisfied and impressed with how they handled our guests and wedding day. Top tier!!
Mar 1, 2026 · Google ReviewStayed at The Drayton for 2 nights in early April on Hilton points. Fantastic location in the Historic District and although Bay St is busy we did not notice any traffic noise in our 5th floor room. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was very good. The rooftop bar lacks ambiance and didn’t have table service - you have to stand up to get a good view but it was OK for a pre-dinner drink. Our room was fantastic - very nicely decorated with a high ceiling and extremely comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again. One note on parking…. There is no obvious place to pull up when you arrive and no valet on hand. The easiest parking solution is to go straight to the Bryan St garage then take your bags to the hotel. The garage entrance is on Drayton St katty-cornered across from the hotel. It’s $20 for a complete day.
Apr 3, 2026 · Google ReviewThis was a tough review…I wanted it to be a four star review, but the price for what it was brings it to 3. So the staff were amazing. From the check in, to the lounge, to the rooftop, and the housekeepers…everyone was amazing and made us feel welcomed. The room was a junior suite, but because it’s on a corner facing Bay Street, it’s loud. The sound proofing sucks from the outside. The wood floors creak, and because the room above us has a wood floor, the sound transmits down easily. There was peeling plaster in the bathroom, one of the coffee mugs had dried sugar that wasn’t washed off properly. The coffee maker in that room was awesome though. There is no iron in the room, but you can ask for one to be sent up. Instead they have a steam wand thing that doesn’t work as well. The coffee shop down in the lobby was backed up in the kitchen one day. No fruit cups, limited selection, just coffee and whatever pastries were left over. They offer valet parking, but it’s expensive. The garage across the street is cheaper per night. The no parking on site is a drag, but the city garage works out. It’s a great location and the staff is wonderful. But for the price you pay, the rooms are just ok even for a junior suite.
