A quick weekend trip to Savannah, GA. I have a slight tea obsession, my friend has gifted me teas from here, so I to check out Savannah Tea Room. A cute little place with fun teacups and saucer sets. I found some new blends I haven't tried like Pai Mu Tan (white tea). I had it iced which is really lite so the owner added ginger to it and offered some nice ginger tips. Hubby had the pomegranate Pai Mu Tan hot, delicious. Also, super excited to find green rooibos.

I opted for Savannah Breakfast tea at lunch time! authentic. high quality. takeaway only though one bench outside can accommodate two people. nearby square offers plenty seats and air also. Quantity and Quality are good. Happy to see Darjeeling tea too.

I've come through this tea room every February for the last 2 years and each time I've gotten a new tea to spend the next few months enjoying. It's now a staple of my experience whenever I get up to Savannah. They have some staples - the tea, certain cookies, a selection of chocolates on the counter. I've seen some different items this year - more tea cups, some different chocolates, but the focus is definitely on the tea. This year, I picked up the teacups and little saucer in the photo, alongside 2 other teacups and teas; last year, several teas and a tea strainer. This is a great place to stop by and find new teas, learn about how to brew and drink them, and learn about what to potentially pair them with. NOTE: this is a pretty traditional tea place - the priority is the brewed tea without any additives, although I have been offered milk, but only for the specific teas which go with those things. It's also important to go in with a capacity for banter and sarcasm! The ladies who work there are knowledgeable and very comfortable with one another - they let you into that relationship; so, if you're not comfortable with either banter or sarcasm, this may be a tricky place for you! But if you're up for a fun conversation, then I highly recommend it!

Such a cute shop with a wide selection of loose leaf teas, as well as several shop blends. This store has all the accouterments you need to make an excellent cup of tea, with products ranging from elegant, to sassy, to the surprising elegantly sassy. You can also order tea to drink, freshly brewed. The staff we met were friendly, helpful, and full of wit and sarcasm that made the whole experience entertaining.
