Savannah History Museum
Savannah History Museum & Battlefield Memorial Park are located in the heart of Tricentennial Park, just adjacent to Savannah's Historic District. Built on the site of the Revolutionary War Battle of Savannah, Savannah History Museum is housed in the former Central of Georgia Railway passenger station. The museum's collections cover the history of the Savannah area from it's earliest settlement to the present day.

The Jewel Riders ArchiveI feel like this museum has a bit of an identity crisis. The answer is that it’s mostly as the name and plies about Savannah‘s history. However, it starts with the revolutionary war, then jumps to the Girl Scouts, throw in some jazz music, and end in World War II…

Martin ZidtoweckiWhat a incredible history, museum everything from cannons to a display of the Girl Scouts to all kinds of information and pictures of jazz heroes and cannons. What a great place all inside of historic route depot.. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth the trip. You’ll learn so much about history. You’ll learn so much about Savannah and the people of Savannah the great people of Savannah.

Moss SeanachéNice museum. Large movie theater with history video loop. Some areas wheelchair inaccessible. Bathrooms barely wheelchair friendly. Must pay to park to arrive by shuttle. Self guided. Nice for history lovers and families. Extra charge for specialty exhibits.

Stella RobertsMy husband and I recently visited the Savannah History Museum in mid May of 2026. The greeter was very well informed about the early history of Savannah. Of particular note for us was the historical context exhibits of Savannah and world wide events as well as the Juliette Gordon Low exhibit. Well worth the $12 per person admission.
