As a current northern/past southerner, I really wanted some iconic southern cuisine during my stay in Savannah. We sat at the bar as we normally prefer that, and ordered some drinks, not sure what they were but they were delicious. I ordered the Bowl O Soul, and it was 10/10 incredible. Super tasty and had a mix of everything I missed from the south. Then we ordered the peach cobbler. Holy mother of pies it was so delicious. If you’ve never had peach cobbler, go here and get it. But know, that you’ll never find better peach cobbler anywhere else, ever again.

Very cool spot in Savannah. It is supposedly the oldest restaurant in the city. Cheeseburger is excellent. Chili too. Deserts are so good, like the oeach cobbler and fried pound cake. I can never decide, so I usually just order them all.

My husband and I split the creamy crab stew, creamy crab dip, and shrimp & grits. All the dishes were absolutely delicious, and the cornbread was a standout too. The menu was great, and they have an extensive drink menu as well. Our server was amazing. One heads up: you’ll normally have to pay for side street parking. We walked right in and were seated by a gentleman hostess who was great.

Unbeatable She-Crab Stew, Legendary Beer List, and Deep-Fried Bliss! Crystal Beer Parlor never disappoints! It is easily one of Savannah's absolute best spots, especially if you appreciate great food and a serious tap list. They have a consistently amazing beer selection that is hands-down probably the biggest in the entire city. No matter what kind of brew you are in the mood for, they have something fantastic on tap. As incredible as the drinks are, the food is the real star. Their She-Crab soup is, without a doubt, the best we have ever had anywhere—rich, velvety, and packed with flavor. And whatever you do, do NOT sleep on the deep-fried pound cake for dessert! It sounds indulgent, but it is an absolute game-changer and the perfect finish to the meal. Between the historic atmosphere, top-tier food, and huge drink selection, Crystal Beer Parlor is a 5-star home run every single time.

On Sundays they offer Country Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. The white gravy is so good. It's very hearty and full of flavor. I like that the country fried steak is in 2 semi thin layers with a crispy crunch. I will definitely be back. My boyfriend had the hamburger steak with onions and gravy, it was really great too. You should definitely try it.
