I really liked the room and overall service. I would be careful if traveling with small children. We requested a crib at the time of booking and expressed our need again at check in. We arrived at our room past midnight and there was no crib. We requested it again. What came was a folded Pack and Play without a fitted sheet or any sheet for that matter. Not the best experience in that sense. Great breakfast and dining service.

Jul 8, 2026 · Google ReviewAs a longtime Hilton Honors member, I booked Embassy Suites Savannah Historic District expecting the usual Hilton consistency. There were some positives: the location was convenient, the suite layout worked for our family, breakfast was helpful, and the self-parking setup was one of the reasons we chose this property. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet the standard I expect from Hilton, and I would advise future guests to review their folio closely. The biggest issue was the billing process after checkout. My original folio appeared to include two separate pet-related charges: “Pet 1” for $75 and “ADD-ON Traveling w/ Pet” for another $75 plus taxes. When I first called, I was told the pet fee was $75 per night, but the folio itself stated “PET FEE 1 TO 4 NIGHTS $75,” which made the explanation confusing and inconsistent with the document I was looking at. I had to call twice before the duplicate pet fee was corrected. After the correction, the final net amount appears to align with my original booked total plus a legitimate Suite Shop purchase. However, the corrected folio still was not clean. It reversed the pet add-on and related state/city taxes, then added a new $11.25 line labeled “MANUAL GUARANTEED NO SHOW,” even though we completed the stay and checked out normally. If that $11.25 was meant to represent tax connected to the remaining pet fee, it should have been labeled correctly. A completed stay should not show a manual no-show adjustment as part of a billing correction. There were also comfort and cleanliness concerns. The thermostat in our room appeared to be limited to a 68°F minimum. The AC worked, but during a summer Savannah stay, especially while traveling with my pregnant wife, having limited room-temperature control was not ideal. The hallway on our floor also had a noticeable urine smell, which was disappointing for a Hilton property. Overall, while the stay had some practical positives, the billing process required multiple calls, the explanations were inconsistent, the corrected folio still looked messy, and the property did not feel as clean or professionally handled as I expect from Hilton. I would caution other guests, especially those traveling with pets or needing more control over room comfort, to check all charges carefully and be prepared to follow up after checkout. Update: Management followed up after my review, acknowledged the billing confusion and service concerns, issued a corrected folio, removed the pet fee, and provided a meaningful service recovery credit that has now posted to my card. I appreciate the Assistant General Manager taking the concerns seriously and following through. I still recommend guests review their folio carefully, but management did make a meaningful effort to address the situation.

Jul 2, 2026 · Google ReviewPros: Check in process was quick and easy. Manager's Reception is every night from 5-7, and was very nice. They have beer, wine, cocktails, and mocktails for free, in addition to light snacks like goldfish, Chex mix, veggies, hummus, etc. Breakfast in the morning was great! They have pancakes, omelets, scrambled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, breads & muffins, etc. Cons: The mini fridge in our room wasn't cold and reeked of chlorine, so we didn't use it, which was unfortunate since we'd brought perishables with us, expecting a working mini fridge. The air never really turned on even after adjusting the thermostat multiple times, turning the fan on max vs auto, etc. It was comfortable but not as cool as we'd hoped for in the evening. The cafe on site, Over Yonder, didn't appear have any food for kids, which was odd since it's supposed to be a family friendly hotel. Overall, it was a good experience, though.
