There are no photography or filming allowed in the establishment. All of the exhibits takes time to read through. I love the handouts that you can take home. I would love it if one of the handouts were a quiz with the questions they asked during that time of redlining and grandfather clauses. I would definitely visit again. I love their collection of books in the gift shop. I would buy them all to add to my library. I need them to offer more books especially the banned ones. I also wish they had audio archived interviews in their exhibits so that people could listen separately on their own time while they're there. Add a library as well. I'd come back a thousand times over to know the history of black folks in Savannah.

Jun 25, 2026 · Google ReviewThe four stars is for the tour guide that we had. I took my parents and she was great. She was friendly, just accommodating and patient with my mom who had health issues. However, the young man who checked people in was incredibly rude very cold and when I was buying my cup, he was very cold as well, just wrapped up my stuff, even bothered to look up at the counter when I left and pretended to be organizing stuffing paper. As much as you hate to see it Black people do exist in Savannah and there’s about black customers

I love the pictures and the writing about all of the African American leaders, it is truly a place to visit if you are in Savannah, GA. Thank you so...much for a great tour & sharing history that we should never forget! ❤️

May 31, 2026 · Google ReviewToday was a very exciting day for me and my grandson. We toured the Ralph Mark Gilbert Museum and had a wonderful tour guide. Both ladies were very knowledgeable about the history of the museum and their founders. I was able to share the experience with my grandson that I had when I first visited the museum back when W.W. Law was still alive.
