We did the 1 day hop on/off tour. I really liked and appreciated the free parking. They pushed add-ons tours of Pirates and Prohibition saying they are the cheapest now and not to wait. They were not any cheaper than if you buy them ahead a time or showed them your ticket for the coupon. There are not enough busses. We often had to wait for an available bus. When we did get on a bus it was packed and we turned people away at almost every stop. At the end of the day 3:30ish they have drop off buses. They will drop you off at your requested stop but no tour information is given. We could have waited for the next 'tour' bus but there was no guarantee there was room. There are no times at the bus stops either. You could be waiting 5 minutes or 35 minutes for the next bus. Which they may or may not have room available. There was only 2 in our group.

We utilized the trolley while visiting Savannah and found it to be a great way to see many of the city's sights. Unfortunately, the overall experience was diminished by several service issues. The biggest frustration was the pickup process. We waited approximately 45 minutes for the trolley to arrive, and there was little to no communication regarding where we should wait, the reason for the delay, or when we could expect pickup. When I spoke to the lady at the counter, I was repeatedly told that "dispatch has been notified and someone is on the way," but no additional information was provided, even when I specifically asked for an estimated arrival time. The interaction felt very scripted and impersonal. Once aboard, the driver provided information about the city, but she spoke extremely fast and drove just as fast. A couple of the passengers asked her to speak slower so they could understand. The trolley frequently jerked and bounced, making the ride uncomfortable at times. It was often difficult to understand the narration because of the speed at which it was delivered. For anyone considering the tour, I recommend sitting near the front of the trolley. While the seats in the back may be more comfortable, there are no speakers in that area, making it difficult to hear the narration. Overall, the trolley is a convenient way to see Savannah's attractions, but better communication, a smoother ride, and clearer narration would greatly improve the experience.

Great way to see Savannah in reasonable comfort. Ride the entire loop once then plot your stops. Think of the naration as more entertainment than history lesson.
