@diningwithdirk: Sunday Edition. Just because there haven’t been reviews lately doesn’t mean I haven’t been eating—quite the opposite. This morning, I had plans to try a new spot, but they didn’t open until 9… so in came the Savannah Coffee Roasters for the win. Short wait? Good. Friendly, welcoming staff? Even better. The food? The best. I went with the Eggolethorpe sandwich and a strawberry cheesecake cookie. That sandwich? The jam tied everything together perfectly. And the cookie—soft, moist, and absolutely worth it. Didn’t catch names, but I had great interactions with multiple staff members, and that always makes a difference. If you’re looking for a solid morning spot for coffee, pastries, or a breakfast sandwich—don’t hesitate. I ended the morning with a stroll through Crafts on the River and no day is complete without at least one visit to @friendsofforsyth
Mar 29, 2026 · Google ReviewHands down the best coffee shop we visited in Savannah. We had stopped up one up the street that had a line wrapped around it and no parking to be found. We happened to Google coffee nearby and it led us straight here. No wait AND a proper parking lot. On top of that, the coffee was delicious, staff went above and beyond and the decor was a total vibe. The front seating area resembled a lavish reading room and the back area felt like a proper cafe shop in Havana. Skip all the other coffee shops and check out the true roasters.
Jun 16, 2026 · Google ReviewWonderful atmosphere with plenty of seating both downstairs and upstairs. The service was quick and attentive, and the coffee was excellent. The breakfast bowl was very flavorful, though it arrived cold, which was disappointing. Overall, I’d definitely come back—especially to try the pastries. I was eyeing the strawberry danishes in the display case.
Dec 3, 2025 · Google ReviewSo happy we visited! We had heard great reviews and wanted to stop in while we visiting the city. Beverages: Their coffee was excellent. We ordered one Shot in the Dark and one hot chai latte. Both were great. Food: We ordered the pavlova (so soooo good), a chicken biscuit (meh) and a breakfast bowl (yummy and very filling). Atmosphere: The vibe of the place feels like a mix between open air industrial and cozy coffee shop. It works very well somehow. Service: We sat inside and were taken care of by two people (one of whom we believe was the owner) and both of them were so helpful, kind and quick with our service -- even when there were issues with our order. Can't wait to return and would a thousand percentage recommend if you are in the area.
Dec 28, 2025 · Google ReviewQuick service on a pleasantly busy weekday. Limited seating inside so we enjoyed the sidewalk seats and watched street traffic. The cortado must have been a single shot because of the Dixie cup size 😂 but I'll tell you, that tiramisu was properly done and absolutely delicious, melt in your mouth perfection!
