Savannah’s Historic Downtown is a beautiful place to explore on foot. The streets are full of history, gorgeous architecture, and that classic Southern charm you hear so much about. We were hoping to see the fountain in Forsyth Park but it was under renovation during our visit. Even so, there was plenty to see, and we really enjoyed walking around and taking it all in
Jun 30, 2026 · Google ReviewIt’s one of the most beautiful places we’ve visited. We’re in awe of the charming streets lined with majestic oak trees draped in spanish moss, historic squares, and well-preserved architecture made it felt like stepping back in time. It’s very walkable, family-friendly, and full of great restaurants, shops, and interesting landmarks. We spent the whole day exploring and loved the relaxed atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re in Georgia!
Jun 29, 2026 · Google ReviewSavannah Historic District is absolutely charming, with beautiful oak-lined streets, historic architecture, and a relaxing atmosphere. The River Street area is lively, with great restaurants, unique shops, and scenic views of the river. A perfect place to walk, explore, and experience the city's rich history.
Jul 1, 2026 · Google ReviewI visited Savannah for the St. Patrick's Day parade. I am so glad I was able to go this year, as it was such a great time. I highly recommend going to Mirabelle's for a coffee or a bite to eat. I also stopped into E. Shaver bookstore to take a look around and saw 2/4 of the the cats that live there. Since it started to thunder storm on me I did end up driving around the town for a while, but was glad I did. I will definitely be making a trip back up.
Mar 18, 2026 · Google ReviewWe absolutely loved Savannah. The architecture is stunning, with beautiful historic buildings and charming streets everywhere you look. The people are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the city truly embraces a slower pace of life — they really take care of pedestrians, which makes walking around so pleasant. The food was delicious everywhere we went, and the atmosphere is magical. We especially loved hearing live jazz music playing on the street — it added the perfect touch to the experience. Savannah is simply beautiful and feels like stepping into another era. Highly recommended! We can’t wait to come back. 😊
