Our stay at the TYRP Downtown Savannah was outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and customer service exceeded our expectations. Jane at the front desk was welcoming, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Ricardo with valet service was friendly, efficient, and provided exceptional service every time we needed assistance. A special thank you to the entire night shift team for their attentiveness, kindness, and commitment to making guests feel valued and comfortable. Their dedication truly made our stay memorable. We highly recommend TYRP Downtown Savannah and look forward to returning!
Jun 6, 2026 · Google ReviewThe location is great for walking or catching the trolley to tour historic Savannah. That’s about where it ends. Our room was not cleaned very well. Debris/crumbs were all over the room floor and bathroom floor. The tub wouldn’t drain and had visible hair clogging the drain. It was gross. The bathroom sink didn’t drain well either. The rooms felt sticky no matter how high we tuned the AC. The windows and walls seem paper thin - our room was facing the street and the noise level was insane! Also the noise from other guests was surprising as well. It’s a no frill stay but I was disappointed in the lack of functioning basic amenities. I would likely not stay here again.
Jul 18, 2026 · Google ReviewExperience with this hotel was so-so. 4 stars might be a bit generous. Hotel was under construction but even so its entrance is odd and obnoxious. Two single sliding doors (one from the street and another into the lobby) with the valet situated between them. If you and another person meet going opposite directions you won’t be able to pass each other at all. Chances are you won’t even see them until you start walking through your first door. The rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable which seems rare at some hotels. The views are so-so. It’s not a tall building so you aren’t really overlooking the city. Some of the repairs to walls and fixtures looked a little like “landlord special” repairs. Parking is offsite at the garage across the street even though it looks like they have a garage under the hotel? Is not included in your stay. It’s in a nice area and Savannah is very walkable, but for the price you might be better off in another hotel.
Jun 22, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is a nice quiet hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The front desk lady was so kind. We were only there for one night and didn't get to see the breakfast. I recommend this motel if you need a place to stay that is within walking distance of restaurants.
Aug 1, 2026 · Google ReviewWe stayed at the TRYP by Wyndham Savannah Downtown/Historic District over Memorial Day weekend and had a very pleasant experience. We arrived around 1:00 AM and were greeted by Joel, who immediately made us feel welcome. He was friendly, professional, and spoke three languages, including Spanish. As a person with mobility challenges, I especially appreciated that he took the time to assist us to our room. The excellent service continued throughout our stay. Both the day and evening staff were attentive, courteous, and always willing to help. During our visit, the hotel was completing renovations in the front lobby. Contrary to some reviews I had read beforehand, the work was not an inconvenience at all. In fact, by the end of our stay, the renovations were completed, and the lobby looked fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located downtown, with the riverfront about a 10 to 15-minute walk away. One thing mobility-impaired travelers should be aware of is that many of the historic streets near the waterfront are uneven, brick-paved, and not particularly friendly to mobility scooters or wheelchairs. This is more of a characteristic of the historic district than the hotel itself, but it’s worth noting. Overall, we had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Between the friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location, I would gladly stay here again.
