Spent two nights here in Jun 2026, generally underwhelmed. Check-in was ok, had to wait 30 min for our room to be cleaned after check-in time. Beds were comfortable. Room ac worked great, but for some reason the super slow elevator was smoking hot and no ac in the halls, which means you start sweating before you ever hit the street. The heavy room doors "ka-chunk" all hours of the day and night was ridiculous. Breakfast buffet Sat morning was a disaster - running out of food, wall-to-wall people, no place to sit, etc. We gave up on breakfast and went a few streets down for something less stressful and higher quality. Staff were pretty friendly, but we would not stay here again.
Jun 30, 2026 · Google ReviewThis hotel is a solid 4 out of 5. It's located in a historic building with a classic style—beautiful and clean. The hotel isn't new, but it is very well-maintained. The location is ideal for tourists: parks, the waterfront, and streets with souvenir shops and cafes are all within walking distance. We booked a room on the top floor facing the street for a better view. However, it's not the best choice for light sleepers, as the street noise is quite noticeable. We could also hear a low, pulsating hum from some machinery, perhaps the boiler or ventilation system. If you need complete silence, this will be an issue (though I suspect you might not hear this hum in other parts of the building). The room itself was clean and huge (we had 2 queen beds plus a sofa)! Breakfasts were predictably good: omelets, bacon, pastries, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, and fruit. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available 24/7. On the downside, the shower water in our room was quite "invigorating"—perfect for fans of cold showers. I'm not sure if this was a hotel-wide issue during the evening rush hour, or just a problem in our room. Also, the bathtub drained very slowly. Since the hotel is practically in the city center (where space is tight), on-site parking is paid and costs $35. Even then, spots can fill up, in which case you'll have to park in a neighboring parking garage.
