Beautiful house and I loved the afternoon wine and treats. Perfect location.
Jul 13, 2026 · Google ReviewSuch a cute place to stay! Is an absolutely perfect location, easy to walk to everything. The rooms and courtyard were beautiful. The staff were friendly and accommodating!
Jul 4, 2026 · Google ReviewVery friendly and welcoming staff. From the minute I got there to the time I left, the staff was friendly and inviting. They were always ready to give you a helpful suggestion or recommendation if asked or help book a tour. The location was ideal. It was in a quiet neighborhood and central location to everything. The room was nice. When you wanted a bottle of water or a soda, diet or sparkling water, all you had to do was to go to the small fridge in the parlor and grab one. There was even water by the front door to grab on your way out. Every afternoon at 5 there was a charcuterie board and wine. At 8 pm some kind of sweet treat. Breakfast was in the private courtyard starting at 8 AM. If you are looking for a place to stay in Savannah that is nice, quiet and friendly, The Eliza Thompson House is a great place to stay.
Jun 14, 2026 · Google ReviewThis place is truly beautiful and in a great location in Savannah. I loved coming and going as I pleased and using the gate they have on street level to access my room. Staff are all very friendly, except for the man they have serving breakfast; his customer service skills were a little lacking. Basically, he was very rigid and didn’t seem super knowledgeable when asked questions about the menu, and, in general, wasn’t the most personable. Additionally, the breakfast could’ve been better. I was expecting more options and fresh fruit, but really there was one entree option and a couple sides every day. While the entree was often delicious, the sides were often dry. Lastly, the room was kept very clean every day and well-stocked. However, the bed and pillows were not the most comfortable for me. The mattress was a little on the hard side and seemed to kind of dip at the top where you lay your head, which, for someone who has chronic neck and shoulder pain, is not a great setup. The pillows also could’ve been more supportive. Overall, I still found the Eliza Thompson house to be peaceful.
Jun 14, 2026 · Google ReviewNice place the breakfast was incredible!!!!! Stayed in the lee room which was nice but the bathroom is kinda small really narrow wouldn't recommend for bigger people the head board on the bed was loose needs to be tightened up has a great view of jones street
Jun 9, 2026 · Google ReviewWe had a fabulous stay at Eliza Thompson House. From the warm welcome checking in with Jennifer, help with parking, arranging an electric car tour (and retrieving my eyeglasses left in the car for me), the charcuterie and wine hour, dessert and coffee hour, and delicious breakfast in the pretty courtyard (all included) recommending restaurants, and our spacious, historical room (admiral Turner in main house)-well I could go on and on! We felt very cared for and met interesting people. Just steps from Forsyth Park and the street is aptly named The most Beautiful Street in Savannah. So pleased!

Jun 5, 2026 · Google ReviewBeautiful location and just a 15-20 min walk or short ride to Broughton and River Streets. All of the staff was very warm and welcoming. Jennifer greeted us on our first day and was incredibly helpful, highlighting the key areas on the map she provided. Her dining recommendations were spot on. I’d stay here again.
Jun 2, 2026 · Google ReviewWe spent two nights at the Eliza Thompson House and appreciated the service, perfect location and amenities like wine, desserts, etc. My wife has extreme sensitivity to any room scents and the manager on duty went above and beyond to help ensure our room was free of any issues. A huge thanks to her.... Overall we were very pleased and wish we could have stayed an extra night! Savannah is a wonderful city. The location at Jones St and Bull St was in the heart of the historic district.
