Man I love him and his shop. If he ever needs a Protégé, I will surely love to be his Protege. He makes you feel like you’re at home.
Jun 13, 2026 · Google ReviewThis little gem was a huge surprise and delight. So much packed inside that little store, mostly from Ghana but the rich variety provided for a delightful trip. The shopkeeper was delightful, describing the lands and people they purchase from and other cultural tidbits. She also found the perfect, tasteful blouse for my friend based on her described wants. I found quality handmade batiks and enjoyed the other shop items. We had a great talk and obtained other local recommendations.

Mar 15, 2026 · Google ReviewLoved the variety of authentic items and Mr. Richard is a gem! I highly recommend stopping by to view and purchase from his fine collection. I am thrilled with my Sankofa statue!
Mar 4, 2026 · Google ReviewThis store is truly one of Savannah’s greatest gems!! As soon as I walked in, I was immediately captivated by the rich colors, beautiful craftsmanship, and incredible cultural pieces throughout the shop. You can feel the love and history in every item. I was greeted by Mr. Richard, the owner, who is one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve ever met. He has run this store for over 20 years, and you can tell how passionate he is about the culture and community. He took the time to talk with me, help me pick out a gorgeous dress with a matching headscarf, and even explained the meaning behind the ankh symbol on the jewelry I purchased. It made the experience so personal and meaningful. I left not only with pieces I adore, but with a heart full of appreciation for the heritage and care his store represents. I will definitely be returning. If you’re in Savannah, you must stop by!
