This place is AMAZING. Husband and I enjoyed the models just as much as the kids. The interactive captains room is amazing. Bought a beautiful trinket box that looked like the sailors carvings in one of the exhibits. Support this place. Learning about it warmed my heart and seeing the passions put into the ships on display made it even more magical. Will be returning!

What a stunning building and gardens! I can’t believe I’ve lived here for 15 years and this is my first time visiting. The exhibits were really cool, and the staff was friendly. A must go if you enjoy some cool models.

This was a wonderful museum, incredibly informative and well layed out. It's also inside of the historic Scarborough home which makes for even more learning! It is a self-guided tour through the museum and I love that they have an exhibit about the man who built many of the models. Such fine and intricate work! I read the historical fiction novel Savannah by Eugenia Price in which William Scarborough and his wife Julia are characters and they talk about the building of his house and his investment in the SS Savannah. It's really cool to read about these events and then see the places once you're here! I also recommend Surviving Savannah, a historical fiction story about the Pulaski explosion and then discovery of the sunken ship in 2018.

Great place to visit if you are the least bit interested in maritime history. We spent one hour self guided tour. There are many intricate models of ships and artifacts on display.
