The desserts were good, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. I visited with my medical cardiac alert service dog, and the staff seemed unfamiliar with the laws regarding service animals and they were quite unwelcoming. We were told we would need to sit outside because of my service dog and were even told that he was “too big.” Out of every restaurant we visited in Savannah, we only experience this issue at this location. Rather than argue or create a scene, our group chose to sit outside, even though we would have preferred to sit indoors as it smelled very bad and was not a great atmosphere outside. The experience felt unwelcoming and disappointing, especially considering that of course, service dogs are legally permitted to accompany their handlers in public dining areas regardless of size. I hope management takes the opportunity to better educate staff on service animal regulations to ensure future guests are treated respectfully and appropriately.
