We stay for three nights this past week and had a great time. The room was very nice, clean and we were able to get good rest. The valet parking was great because once our car was parked, we were able to walk everywhere. “Shout out to Kay who took care of us upon arrival and Jamie who was working so hard getting everyone their cars when leaving”. This hotel is near great restaurants, the river, has a lot of attractions to attend and good pizza…Vinnie Van Go-Go pizza, right across the street from the hotel. Also, make sure you ride the comedy tour bus, it is hilarious 🤣. Had so much fun in Savannah. The tour office is located in the hotel, the nice lady will help you…very nice. One other thing, all the workers at the front desk in the hotel were very friendly and polite. Check in was quick and easy. Thanks Doubletree, we will be back! Blessings The Brown’s🙏🏽💕💯
Jun 9, 2026 · Google ReviewEverything about this hotel was great, except the noise from outside. Made it difficult to get to sleep as you could hear the traffic right outside the window. And then the room next to us had dogs left unattended that barked during our last night there. Was overall okay, but if I ever visit again I'm going to look into other hotel options.
May 31, 2026 · Google ReviewYou had the choice of many hotels in Savannah and we are so happy we selected this hotel for our two night stay. The hotel has an excellent location, our room was spacious and we had some of our best sleep in this hotel. Our room was also reasonably priced and it was quick and easy to get our car out of the hotel each time we needed it. The people working at the front desk and the valet parking attendants were attentive and courteous. A great experience overall.
Apr 7, 2026 · Google ReviewIf you're visiting Savannah and want to stay in the heart of the historic district, this property delivers without costing an arm and a leg. We had an excellent stay overall with only one notable friction point. The neighborhood is unbeatable. You're steps from everything that makes Savannah worth visiting, and the property itself holds its own. Downstairs you'll find a bar, restaurant, lounge space, hot tub, and pool. Room 630 comes with a balcony offering a standout view of the Plant Riverside District and the Talmadge Bridge, which felt like a genuine bonus at this price point. I'd choose that room again every time. Breakfast was pretty good. The buffet was reasonably priced, the Hilton Honors credit was fair, and the spread was genuinely good, including cheesy eggs, warm spiced fresh peaches, and excellent biscuits. As a vegetarian, I often find hotel buffets underwhelming, and this one was a pleasant exception considering the price. I believe meat eaters will be even more satisfied, as you also get the sausage gravy for the biscuits. It looked delicious. There are also plenty of dining options within a five-block radius if you want to explore. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and kind. Mary in particular went above and beyond to resolve a reservation issue before we arrived and made sure we were taken care of. Sleep quality was good. The room is at a noisy intersection, but it wasn't noticeable while sleeping thanks to an adjustable white noise machine that honestly outperformed my paid white noise app. The bed was comfortable with no intrusive light sources. The one recurring Hilton-brand issue worth flagging: the pillows lack substance and flatten quickly, which causes neck discomfort for side sleepers. This is not unique to this property but it is worth knowing if unsupportive pillows will cause you pain the next day. The one real frustration was a pre-arrival reservation cancellation triggered by a card issue. A 90-minute response window via text is not a reasonable policy for guests who may be driving or in the air. A simpler and more guest-friendly approach would be to flag the issue and request a valid card on arrival rather than canceling outright. The staff resolved it gracefully, but if this is customary the procedure needs a second look. Overall this is an easy recommendation for Savannah. Great location, solid amenities, good food, and genuinely warm service. Book room 630 if it's available. If you want to skip the on-site valet at nearly $50/night, we parked at the Whitaker Street Garage (three blocks away) for $10/day. It took 30 minutes of circling around one-way streets to find it, so I hope this helps someone. A hotel that - at minimum - doesn't deliver on safety, honesty, or cleanliness will never score a total above a 2/5.
