Eigentlich war ich mit allem zufrieden: gutes Essen, freundlicher Service. Als ich heute allerdings meine Kreditkartenabrechnung gesehen habe, war ich sehr verärgert. Statt der vereinbarten 81.- Dollar (incl. Tip) hat man mir 87.- Dollar belastet. Das geht gar nicht!

Sat outside on a perfectly gorgeous early evening... no humidity, light breeze, soft light. This place is perfect! I chose the fish stuffed with crabmeat on top of garlic mashed. It was delish! We drank a couple of very innovative bourbon cocktails .... strong!! The clientele love it here and it's always crowded. Service from the kitchen is not fast ... you will finish your drinks well before the meal. So, if you don't like so much alcohol on an empty stomach, ask the server what they can bring out fast. We didn't mind, as it was a gorgeous night and we kept the table for almost 2 hours, great to sit + chat. Bravo for a perfect meal!

Service is always hit or miss here. I tried the bbq with plantains, absolutely delicious!! Sweet Tea tasted like a northern transplant made it. It was the only thing lacking.

I had never had or even heard of butterfish before. It was so delicious it brought a tear to my eye and I'm not exaggerating. Also the service was great (shout-out to Gabby our bartender!). However some of the other dishes were a bit of a let down, such as the lamb burger, which came out tough even though we asked for it to be cooked at medium temperature. Also the "elevated almond joy" type dessert was too hard to eat. As in, so solid I could barely bite through it. The corn flan was awesome though! So a bit inconsistent, but we still had a good time here. We walked over from Artillery because we were told it's owned by the same people.

The Butter Fish was phenomenal! Loved the accommodating service from Gabby at the bar who ensured our food was split between us and coursed our correctly. The Chocolate dessert was too hard and the Lamb burger was overcooked but other than that, we would go back again.

If you haven't been to The Public Kitchen & Bar, stop what you're doing and go — and when you do, ask for Victoria! From the moment we were seated, Victoria made us feel like the most important guests in the room. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she took the time to walk us through every option with a smile that made the whole experience feel personal and special. The food was absolutely incredible — but what truly elevated the evening was Victoria's hospitality. She checked in at just the right moments without ever being intrusive, kept our glasses full, and made sure every detail was taken care of. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and that energy is contagious. The atmosphere at The Public Kitchen & Bar is already fantastic — great ambiance, a beautiful setting right in the heart of Savannah — but Victoria turned a great dinner into an unforgettable experience. If there were six stars, she'd earn every single one. Thank you, Victoria, for making our night so memorable. We will absolutely be back!"
