The Rusty Rudder is exactly what it says it is. Nobody named a bar the Rusty Rudder and then filled it with chandeliers. You walk in, you sit down, you are comfortable, the service is good, and that is really the whole pitch. Sometimes that’s enough. We played a couple rounds of Georgia Lottery Keno, which is the bar equivalent of throwing coins into a fountain except the fountain occasionally gives you money back and you can drink next to it. Did we win? That feels beside the point. We played. We watched the numbers. We had opinions about the numbers. It was fine. Look, not every place needs to be an experience. Sometimes you just need somewhere to sit that isn’t your car, with someone who will bring you a drink without making it a whole thing. Rusty Rudder handles that assignment without complaint. Solid. Unpretentious. Exactly what it is.

Wanted to give a shoutout to the AMAZING service we received from, Sal, TK and Juelz! The bar was packed the night we went and not once did these people forget about us. This is what service is about! Their music selection and beer and liquor was on point too!! Thanks guys for making our trip, AWESOME!

Sal was AWESOME!!! Very attentive!! Bar was hopping .... Sadly his shift came to an end and his replacement was not awesome, not attentive and the busy bar was reduced to no patrons and that bartender tending only to some chic playing pool. Recommend going when Sal is there. He's the best!!

We had a blast one of the only places playing country music in Savannah weird bc its the south but anyway. The staff was awesome had a great time at this place drink were reasonably priced. A good place to just sit, enjoy the drinks and pass the time.

If you're day drinking on the river walk pop into the Rusty Ruddy for a shot and a beer. We did and it was a hoot. Our small group was promptly served with a smile. The friendly staff gave us some tips on places around the river and in a few minutes we were on our way to the next bar. Thanks Rusty's, we had a great day!
