Fun way to spend and hour or so exploring Savannah history. The firing of the howitzer daily at 11am and 2pm is fun for kids. A nice companion tour to Fort Pulaski out towards Tybee, and much easier to navigate.

Aug 7, 2026 · Google ReviewIf you are a Hisory buff you will love speaking to the people who work here. It is very warm in Savannah in the summer, morning trips are the coolest. I thought it was interesting that the Fort defended the entrance to one of the busiest ports in the U.S.A.

Jul 23, 2026 · Google ReviewReally cool history lesson by a gentleman passionate about the site and the history of the area. It was neat to learn about the early history of Savannah and how it was defended. Definitely worth the visit. The walls are in amazing condition considering they are 200 years old. Now that’s good engineering!
