Jul 6, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is a must see when visiting Savannah. I have walked through, drove through, and took a golf cart tour. It's hauntingly beautiful!
Jun 30, 2026 · Google ReviewWe had two opposite experiences this morning. We did a tour through Savannah Cruzers with Darren. It was fantastic! Highly recommend! However, when we got there we were early and went into the building with a sign that said visitor information and maps please come in. Apparently the man behind the desk felt differently. He asked if he could help us and we said we had a tour but were early and could we look around. He very rudely said “this is a place of business!” “This is a city cemetery your tour is out there and pointed to the door”. He threw us out!!! We literally did nothing more than walk in. We were shocked because we wanted a map. He was so rude we almost cancelled our tour. He should not be dealing with the public. Especially at a tourist attraction.
Jun 26, 2026 · Google ReviewCan I lease a crypt at the cemetery? I have a business partner who has a limited liability leasing company, and would like to lease crypts at historical cemeteries. My business partner would rather pay monthly prices than just an outright flat fee and be done with the burial price.
Jun 14, 2026 · Google ReviewDidn't think a cemetery would be the highlight of the trip. It was. This isn't my usual kind of tour. I'll admit I dragged my feet a little. Bonaventure won me over inside ten minutes. The setting does most of the heavy lifting. Live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, monuments and statues tucked around every bend, the Wilmington River sitting right there at the edge. It's beautiful in a way that catches you off guard. Less spooky, more peaceful. Our guide knew the place cold. Real stories about the people buried here, the history of the city, the families and the famous names. Never dry, never rushed. We learned a ton and laughed more than I expected to. And the photos. We came home with a stack of keepers. The light through the trees, the weathered stone, the moss. Hard to take a bad shot in there. Bring a real camera if you've got one. Easy to walk, well kept, and worth carving out the time for even if "cemetery tour" isn't on your list. It wasn't on mine. I'm glad it ended up there. Fun, a little weird in the best way, and absolutely worth it. We'll be back.
