We recently stayed at the Westin Savannah and had several meals at Aqua Star. First, the breakfast service by Patrice was truly spectacular. She was a delight and a highlight each morning by remembering our drink order and greeting us with a big smile! She is great! The food from the menu was really good and fresh. The buffets, though, were meh. We had breakfast buffet and their 4th of July dinner buffet in the restaurant. The food wasn't very hot and "soggy" from the buffet containers. It was lackluster for sure-- the variety was okay but the quality wasn't there. Again, the dinner and breakfast from the menu were excellent. It was always freezing in the restaurant! We brought a long sleeve layer just for meals.

Top notch service. No complaints there. The food, however, was awful. I ordered the Airline Chicken, which other than the char marks had no flavor at all. The "crispy" Brussel sprouts were raw and the potatoes had zero seasoning. My husband had the porkchop and while tender, like the chicken it had no flavor. The mac and cheese he ordered ala carte was dry and cold. Our meal was more than $100 and we left starving because we could not eat our meal.

Wonderful find after a late check in and a long travel day. The crab Gazpacho was perfect, the crispy tofu was from my dreams, Mac n cheese was comforting, & the fried shrimp were the all time crispiest Clarence was on top of his game, Zelphia & Likang were absolutely hospitality incarnate.

I was a solo diner (staying at the Westin) that just wanted something kind of quick and nice - Aqua Star was perfect! I just got the Mac and cheese, and a beer, and everything was good. The Mac and cheese was delicious and piping hot, the rolls for the table were so nice and warm, the beer was good , and my server Clarence was very quickly and so professional. And it was nice and relaxed when I was there - just a few tables full (thankfully since the lobby bar area was loud and busy, and I didn’t want to go across the river again). Not awkwardly empty, just relaxed and other tables were chatting quietly. I really enjoyed my meal. Zero complains, only praise. I’d totally come here again when staying. I wanted to leave a comment since the TripAdvisor posts were bad, but most people bother with TripAdvisor to complain. The Mac and cheese tasted great, great service, great atmosphere and view, and great convenience as a hotel guest.
