I have always sought out Country Inn & Suites when traveling because the brand traditionally offers a warm, welcoming experience with dependable amenities. Unfortunately, this stay fell far short of those expectations. The property advertises amenities that heavily influenced my booking decision, including an indoor heated pool, hot tub, elevator, and the classic Country Inn atmosphere. Upon arrival, I discovered the hot tub and pool area had been closed for months and are reportedly being permanently removed. The elevator has been out of service for weeks, creating a significant inconvenience for guests. Equally concerning was the overall operation of the hotel. The front desk was frequently unattended, sometimes for extended periods, leaving guests without assistance when needed. During my stay, even basic expectations such as consistent hot water became an issue. After reviewing guest feedback, many of these problems appear to be longstanding rather than isolated incidents. Numerous reviews referenced concerns with the pool, hot tub, elevator, and general maintenance well before my visit. What disappointed me most was not simply that amenities were unavailable, but that key features prominently associated with the brand were either nonfunctional or being permanently eliminated. These are not minor inconveniences—they are amenities many travelers specifically select and pay for. I also contacted Choice Hotels corporate to express my concerns but found little reassurance that these issues would receive meaningful attention. Based on this experience, I would encourage travelers to carefully research this property before booking and consider alternative accommodations if amenities, maintenance, and consistent guest service are important factors in their decision. A couple of sidenote’s housekeeping was still here last night after 6:30 PM. They were here at 6 AM this morning. One room they were cleaning at one point at 6:15 had two or three people in there that room 2 1/2 hours later still has the car in front of it and after I said something to management the door is closed .I assume only the lower floor is being used which points to lack of management that housekeeping would be working a 12 to 14 hour day. One last detail there was no hot water all morning as I mentioned. I said something to the Manager around 9 o’clock now we have hot water and it had nothing to do with usage.

Positive: My room was very clean and updated, the shower was amazing!!! Negative: It advertised that there would be a pool and a whirlpool, that is the only reason why I booked a hotel for the night, we wanted to swim and soak. That didn't happen, and the attitude from manager was horrible.
