I'm so happy we chose them the food was amazing, but was even more amazing was the staff they joined in with us and became family in the midst of doing their job and never missed a beat. One even offered us a prayer on our new union and said thank you for having them. I'm upset at myself I didn't remember all their names to put in this review. But we love you and thank you again for a job well done.

Chef Mark and his team were such a wonderful part of our wedding experience. From the beginning, they were responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely sincere. We were immediately impressed by the variety of the menu, and as two people who love to cook, it meant so much to us to create a meal that truly reflected us as a couple. On our wedding day, the food was absolutely incredible. Everything tasted amazing, and our guests are still talking about how much they loved the meal. Chef Mark and his wife, Hayley, are not only talented at what they do but also incredibly kind people, which made the entire experience even better. We are so happy we chose Savannah Event Catering and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional caterer in the Savannah area!

Savannah Event Catering was truly exceptional from start to finish. Three months before our wedding, we had the opportunity to do a tasting with Chef Mark to finalize our menu, and every dish we tried was incredible — it was genuinely difficult to narrow down our choices. On the wedding day, the food served under our outdoor tent was just as outstanding as it was at the tasting. The quality was not diminished in the slightest, which is incredibly impressive. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the entire evening. The food—from the passed appetizers to dinner to dessert—was consistently delicious. Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Both the chicken and beef were cooked perfectly and were major highlights. The flaming donut station was an unforgettable addition and a huge hit among our guests. We will be talking about it for years to come, and we highly recommend including it. Mark and the Savannah Even Catering team were so amazing to work with for our outdoor wedding in September! We were able to meet with the team for a food tasting about 2 months prior to our wedding and I immediately knew we made the right decision in hiring SEC! The food was delicious! I was a little nervous with how the quality of food would translate since our dinner was outside under a tent but it Mark reassured us that they were familiar with this style of reception and helped us pick dishes that would work well for our venue. Our guests LOVED the food, especially the shrimp and grits and the peach cobbler. I would 100% recommend this team for the perfect low country event!

Divine Rest, Inc has used this catering company on many occasions and this year’s sneaker ball was exceptionally catered as usual. From the professional friendly staff to the delicious food is always amazing! The shrimp and grits were to die for and the flaming donuts were a big hit too! They never disappoint no matter what menu you choose for your event! I highly, highly, did I say highly, recommend them! Chef Mark is phenomenal and will always work with you to ensure your event is to your satisfaction and will go above and beyond your expectations! Savannah Event Catering…remember the name!!!

Savannah Events Catering did an incredible job with the food and beverage for our wedding—everything was absolutely phenomenal. The crab cakes were a huge hit—guests were literally following the servers around just to grab one! Chef Mark curated an amazing menu that accommodated a wide range of dietary needs, so everyone had something delicious to enjoy. Additionally, they were very flexible with the request to make a station a passed appetizer. One of the standout features was the flaming donut bar, which our guests are still talking about, it was definitely a showstopper. We also did a food tasting ahead of time, which I highly recommend. Not only was it a wonderful experience, but it really helped us finalize our menu with confidence. Our post-ceremony photos took longer than expected, so we unfortunately missed most of cocktail hour. But the catering team was incredibly thoughtful and passed a tray of appetizers to the getting ready room while I was getting my dress bustled. I really appreciated that extra touch—especially since the food items were the ones I’d been most looking forward to. The only downside was some miscommunication around the setup. We were initially told the setup would be flexible depending on the event flow and weather and discussed this with our event coordinator who said it was relayed. However when we arrived day of and there was no forecast for rain, the tent was placed behind the fireplace, which unfortunately blocked the beautiful tree backdrop and affected some of our first dance photos.

Thank you, SEC!! Chef Mark was a pleasure to work with, and the whole team was great. Every vendor I had recommended them, and I can see why. The tasting was delicious, and the food was so excellent - the shrimp and grits station was the absolute highlight of my dinner (my wife and I had probably 10 bowls between us). The flaming donuts were also excellent!! The pricing for our event was very fair and the food far exceeded expectations (which were already high!!) The whole team that worked our wedding was professional and super cordial, and handled the crowd like champions. Super appreciative of them! Everyone still talks about how good the food was. Thank you guys so much!
