Popular ice cream spot in Savannah with plenty of history. Was crowded even on a slow Wednesday afternoon. This is the OG location. Staff offered generously big scoops for tasting, even though we wanted smaller ones. They were quick, but did not seem to come across as very friendly. Not a downside, just something that stood out compared to most other establishments in the South. We tried the rose flavor and the honey almond. The rest of the flavors were pretty mid. Worth visiting once for the history, but otherwise skip. The lady at the checkout counter was very friendly.

Cool nostalgic ice cream shop with lots of movie memorabilia. The staff was so friendly & helpful. Great place to get a cold treat in Savannah. Offering vegan & gluten free options including chocolate chip cookies too.

Upon arriving in Savannah’s food district... the anticipation was high as we approached Leopold's Ice Cream. The long line outside, marked by a vibrant neon sign, hinted at the establishment’s storied past. Once inside, the queue moved swiftly, confirming the spot’s historical presence . We ordered our ice cream, selecting from a variety of flavors. Unfortunately while the flavors themselves were respectable, the sweetness was subdued, and the portion size felt average. The ambiance was a delight, filled with vintage movie posters and camera equipment, transporting us to an era of classic cinema and photography. Despite the minor average ice cream portions , the experience was enjoyable. However, the overall rating did not quite reach the lofty heights of five stars suggesting a return with more reservations. RATINGS & LOGISTICS: - Atmosphere: 10/10 - Food Quality: 7/10 - Service/Flow: 8/10 - Value: 4/10 - Would Return: Yes. Coming back.

A dynamic and engaging experience, especially with a two year-old toddler who grabs the cherries directly off of the ice cream sundae, and then dunk them in the water for some reason! What fun! The water had a nice crisp, watery flavor, and then After had a mild Cherry and milk after Taste since his hands were covered in whipped cream. And notes of toddler fist.

One of the most frequented places in down town Savannah is Leopold's Ice Cream. I am not exaggerating when I say that Leopold's Ice Cream attracts and has the widest cross section of visitors. Was it worth it standing in a long line waiting for Ice Cream? Yes! Were the choices made regarding flavors, toppings and anything else you wanted worth the wait? Yes! Was your favorite flavor available? Yes! Will we be going back to stand in line for another serving of Leopold's flavors again? Yes! Yes! Yes!
