This was my second time at Debi’s and I came for the salmon cakes. They are amazing and as good as they were the first time. My wife had the French toast and would have enjoyed them more if the center wasn’t as chewy. She didn’t send them back and was able to get through half, along with the bacon which she loved. Since this is my review, 5 stars for my meal and service. Teresa is a great server. She was pleasant each time and made the experience a welcoming and comfortable one. If you plan to order the French toast, maybe be mindful and ask that they ensure the bread is cooked through.

It was ok but disappointed we even tried. The chicken had way too much salt and the waffles were soggy. The syrup was way too sweet but not enough flavor. Dark and dreary atmosphere and didn’t feel an excitement in the air.

What a wonderful dining experience! We were on our way out after having stayed at East Bay Inn for long weekend and had breakfast before heading back home. The atmosphere alone is worth dining downstairs at this place. My wife had the typical bacon and eggs breakfast and was pleased. I had the Grits Cake. When the waitress brought the plate out my eyes popped! It tasted better than it looked and it looked liked it belonged on the cover of a food magazine! Highly recommend. Thanks Debi's for sending us home on such a wonderful dining experience!

Outstanding Food, Historic Charm, and Top-Notch Hospitality! Debi’s Diner in Savannah is an absolute gem! Even on a bustling, busy day, our group was seated right away. We were visiting with a party that included a baby—which can sometimes feel overwhelming at restaurants—but the staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure our whole table was taken care of so everyone had a chance to relax and eat. Speaking of the meal—the food was absolutely outstanding! Every dish came out cooked to perfection and packed with incredible flavor. On top of the incredible southern hospitality, the diner has such a fun, nostalgic atmosphere celebrating its role in the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. If you are anywhere near Savannah, do not miss this spot. Exceptional food, unbeatable service, and rich local history—we will definitely be back!
