It was an amazing place with so much history I now understand the meaning of "Don't let the bedbugs bite" This tree is what they used to stuff and make mattresses with ( Spanish Moss) it hangs from the trees and carries bedbugs.

It is absent statues, monuments and memorials, but has many benches and large trees and the surrounding area consists of both residential and commercial. One of the Trustee lots is the Owens-Thomas house, an English Regency-style house museum, built in 1819.
