We stayed at the Galloway House Inn for four days over the Easter holiday, and it was a lovely experience from the beginning to end. Our host, Jim, was accessible throughout our whole stay, and he provided us with loads of information about what was nearby in the neighborhood. The room was clean and well appointed. It was a whole floor suite, and it went beyond all my expectations! I can definitely see myself returning to the Galloway House Inn on my next trip to the magical city that is Savannah, GA.
Apr 7, 2026 · Google Reviewwe really liked the Galloway House Inn. Our room on the second floor of the annex was really lovely and so comfortable. The only issue was the very steep narrow steps up to the room. . difficult to carry our luggage up - but we're aged seniors, so younger people shouldn't have a problem. The owners, Keith and Jim were so helpful and friendly. The Inn was outside the city center - about a 25 minute walk - but a lovely walk and also much quieter than being in the center of the city. The free bus is right on the route also, but frankly, every time we waited for it, it never showed up. We used Ubers when we were too tired to walk. I would definitely stay there if we go back to Savannah
Oct 25, 2025 · Google ReviewWe stayed at The Galloway Inn for 5 days while celebrating my son's graduation from SCAD. This historic home is beautiful, our room was well equipped with a comfortable bed and lovely living space (I also appreciated the Starbucks coffee). Our hosts were extremely accomodating from the late check-in to the pleasant interactions which always started with..."do you need anything". Parking was never an issue and the area is full of shops and restaurants. We loved our stay and will visit again.
Nov 9, 2025 · Google ReviewWhat a special place! A gorgeous Greek revival mansion- and oh man, that PORCH- and fantastic, comfortable units, each with their own private entrances. My sister and I stayed in the Caroline Suite, the first floor of the carriage house around the back of the main home. (To get to it, you first enter through a simply fabulous Secret Garden-esque courtyard.) The suite had everything we needed and more, and was an excellent resting spot after our days of adventuring. Keith and Jim were wonderful, welcoming hosts, and I even got to meet the darling pup Hudson on the aforementioned porch after requesting a meet n' greet with the celeb himself. 😉 We loved the Starland District's artsy nature and walkability to new faves (Foxy Loxy for coffee, Big Bon Bodega for Breakfast, The Vault for dinner, Water Witch for tiki drinks, Nom Nom Poke for an easy meal...this spot is central for everything, plus a beautiful walk up to Forsyth Park)! The Galloway House is also right by the free trolley stops that'll get you right downtown and back again. CANNOT wait to come back to this perfect Savannah spot.
Jan 16, 2026 · Google ReviewVery pleasant stay for 2 nights. Renwick Suite is a very private upstairs apartment of the carriage house with its own entrance. The host was very communicative and helpful, yet gave us space and privacy as we did not wish to be social. Super clean and very beautifully antique rooms. Loved the in-room coffee maker plus fresh coffee beans. Beautiful enclosed back yard with a secret garden vibe. While it's hard to find lodging in historic Savannah that doesn't have a derelict district around the corner, I can say that the block this house is located on seemed relatively safe and kept up well. I was able to walk to the downtown area near the river in under an hour. Would definitely stay here again! No kids, no dogs
