RonnieA very special place that is run by amazing staff! If you are visiting Savannah, this place is a must visit on your trip!! Shout out to Odessa and Jane for both their professionalism, exceptional knowledge, and patience! This is an African Art museum that tells a beautiful story. Showcasing unique cultural artifacts and pieces from across the African continent that each tell their own unique story. This museum is free, and guide will conduct a tour of the museum and provide you with knowledge on every cultural artifact and aspect of the museum. Nicole RobinsonThis is a really excellent museum. There are tons of artifacts to look at and tons of really incredible history. They offer guided tours and our tour guide Ari was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell he’s really passionate about the history. Highly recommend stopping by for an hour or two. The museum is also free, but I do think they accept donations.

Emma MonaghanWhat a GREAT find. I’m so happy I took the time to visit this gem of a museum. It is packed with all sorts of amazing African art from various countries. My docent, Kadence, was very knowledgeable and had interesting stories. They do West African art tours on the hour and Central African tours on the half hour. I love their mission of wanting to educate people and provide context on the wide variety of artifacts - they certainly achieve this. Definitely worth a visit.

DeliminjooThanks to our guide Jane, I had a wonderful time exploring for about an hour. It was so fun and fascinating! She knew so much about the exhibits — their meanings, when they were made, and more — and answered all my questions kindly. (I’m Korean and not very fluent in English, but she spoke clearly and slowly, which made it easy for me to understand.) Thank you so much! I highly recommend this experience!

Lala RobinsonWe had an amazing time learning about the Arfican Art. So much symbolism and depth to the pieces! Catherine did a great job guiding us, she was very informed, helpful and funny. We enjoyed speaking with her and the other staff about the museum and what they do and offer. I'm looking forward to exploring the website as well. This space was beautiful, warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend you visit while staying in Savannah.
