Overall, very amazing restaurant, the chicken tenders were AMAZING and tender, and the waitress we had was so nice to help accommodate us for a tour we had. We got the check quick and the food was ready to go. The only downside was the service when entering they had a little bit of a disorganized system to get people on a waitlist because of the amount of people. We did have to wait for around 45 minutes for a table but that was really all! Finally, very lively atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

This place is OK. It is NOT worth the hype. Signature Peach Cosmo was mediocre at best. “First Ever Chicken Tender” was soggy and greasy. The spuds were slices of potatoes in the same batter as the chicken. The batter is more like a tempura, and if it’s not cooked well it will soak up grease. If you like that…this is your place! Hush puppies were decent. It was disappointing but filled up our bellies! No large print menu available. Also, this place is NOT wheelchair accessible! Please like my review!

Our server was a hoot! The casual atmosphere, large portions, and great air conditioner made it a fantastic stop for lunch. Some yummy gluten-free menu items and perfectly located for our river front afternoon. Plan accordingly: your party doesn't get seated until everyone has arrived.

Chicken tenders was delicious, so tender and juicy, we like it a lot because the flavor was good and the most satisfying was that it didn’t have too much breading. We will definitely go back to get some more before we go back to VA

The Undisputed Kings of the Chicken Finger If you’re heading to River Street, Spanky’s is a classic for a reason. They truly epitomize the original chicken finger. While they have plenty of other options on the menu, the tenders are their consistent quality item and their true claim to fame. You just can’t visit without ordering them! We also really enjoyed the appetizers, which were surprisingly good, and they have a great variety of drinks available to choose from. The atmosphere is very kid-friendly, the prices are reasonable for being right on the water, and it’s generally just a great, reliable experience. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this is a solid spot that never misses.
