We spent 3 nights here last week for my 65th birthday. We stayed here for 1 night many years ago. The hotel is as still as nice as I remember. Located in a quaint old building, the property is very well kept and conveniently located across the street from a city parking garage. We arrived and were greeted at the front desk. I booked a balcony room on the river side. Be aware that the balconies are size appropriate for the time that they were built. It's tight maneuvering around the door to access the balcony, but there is room for 2 people. It was a blast people watching as well as watching the many container ships passing by. The manager holds an afternoon gathering downstairs with free drinks and hors d'oeuvre. The entire staff from management to housekeeping was so friendly. There is a restaurant located in the building as well as many bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Street Inn. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the river view was fantastic. Watching the huge container ships go by was surprisingly fun and one of the highlights of the trip. The room did have a slight musty smell, but considering the age and history of the building, it honestly felt understandable and didn’t take away from the experience. Overall, it was a charming and memorable place to stay right in the middle of everything on River Street.

My wife and I had a great experience. There is a wonderful view of the river and it's within walking distance to so many restaurants and local businesses. Very friendly and courteous staff. Parking is a little tight, so if you can spring for valet parking, go for it. We had no issues with our stay. Highly recommended if you're looking for historical Savannah charm coupled with modern conveniences that do not take away from the atmosphere.

We have walked by this hotel for 30 years and finally made a reservation. They treated us outstanding. The happy hour, restaurant, porch, there was no reason to leave the property. We will definitely be back. And we'll be back soon. Huge shout out to Jay at the front desk, he was awesome. As well as Bradley at the bar of happy hour. Thank you for making our anniversary special.

This hotel was one of the highlights of our Savannah trip. The historic charm made it feel like part of the experience, and our girls loved looking around at all of the beautiful details. It was comfortable, clean, and perfectly located for exploring River Street. We loved every minute of our stay. 3 year old - “popcorn” 1 year old loved the elevator We walked everywhere!
