I wish I could give more than 5 stars for our service! This was my wife and I's first time at Huey's and it definitely didn't disappoint. I had the shrimp and grits and a side of fried okra and my wife had the pasta with pesto. About midway through the meal we started tasting off of each other's plate and everything was absolutely delicious. We ended the meal with some of the best beignets that I've ever had!. Now to the service, Amythest was our server and I've got to say she was absolutely fantastic. I don't think my wife and I laughed so much through dinner in a very long while. Ask for her on your 1st trip here or your next trip here and your guaranteed good drinks, good food and a great time. *Update* We ended up eating there 3 times last week (including 1 breakfast) which was fantastic and will probably go back a few times this week as well.

I was sooo disappointed. I have eaten here for years… I know you can do better. We drove 5+ hours and no sorbet for the Lemon Drop Martini. No chilled glasses either! Served in a plastic cup. PLEASE tell folks up front before they order. Server said the freezer was broken and not sure when it would be fixed : ( Crab cake sandwich was good not great. It was not as good as a couple of years ago. It seemed smaller and less flavorful. Happy note: Fried green tomato sandwich was excellent! This probably the only less than 5 star review I have ever left.

Bloody Mary’s were delish, food was so good, top notch service. So good we came back the next day and we were only there two days ! First day we got the gumbo and beignets with the caramel (amazing). Second day, fried green tomatoes, red beans and rice and the grits. We sat in the bar area and the team working was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend !

Ordered the Fried chicken and French toast, and it was mediocre… Plate was coated with powdered sugar, almost unedible. My husband ordered a shrimp Poboy and enjoyed it, we also ordered the spinach dip appetizer, and it was good. Our server gave us complementary beignets once realizing it was our honeymoon and they were absolutely delicious. I would return to this location just to get beignets. The staff was incredibly kind, and the restaurant was beautiful, however, I would not recommend the chicken in French toast.

Wow!!!! Food is perfection! Nice coffee while we ate our beignets; with praline sauce! Huge Amounts of food great prices! You could share a dish for sure. Delicious and nice smooth river view.
