During my recent stay, my friend and I encountered several issues that impacted out experience. First, the pool was not open. Had we been informed of this in advance, we likely would have chosen to stay elsewhere. Second, there was confusion regarding complimentary coffee. On the first 2 mornings, I was provided small complimentary coffees by a staff member. However, on the third day, a different employee informed me that no complimentary coffee was offered and questioned my request. She then addressed the situation by calling over the staff member and reprimanding her in front of me, which felt unprofessional. When I offered to return to my room to get payment, I was told-rater abruptly-that I would be given the coffees since I had already received them previously. The coffees were handed to me half full and without sleeves or lids, making it difficult to carry safely. It was burning my fingers. Another staff member saw this and offered the sleeves and lids... he was a nice guy. Overall, the inconsistencies in service and lack of clear communication are the experience frustrating. I hope this feedback helps improve future guests experiences. And by the way, I sent this same complaint to the hotel and it fell on deaf ears. The person that received the review was the same person that was rude about the coffee. Her name is Brijit and she says she's the general manager, go figure.

Entire property has become worn and dated. Needs refurbishing to make it meet Marriott’s standards. Staff was friendly and helpful but I will stay elsewhere in the future.
