I had a good stay at Baymont by Wyndham Savannah Midtown, especially considering the price. We paid about $170 for 3 days/2 nights, and overall I felt it was a good value. Breakfast was definitely a highlight. Free breakfast is one of the first things I look for when reading hotel reviews, and this one was actually good with plenty of options. They had waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, fruit, juice, and more. The coffee machine is also conveniently located close to the breakfast area. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked great. I didn't notice any major cleanliness issues during our stay. One thing to know is that not all rooms have Smart TVs, so if that's important to you, I would ask before checking in. There were two negatives. The hotel entrance says it is a smoke-free hotel, but we could smell marijuana, cigarettes, and other tobacco products around the property. It doesn't seem like there is a clearly enforced smoking distance away from the building. Also, we were traveling with a baby and asked about a playpen through the online chat before arriving. We were told we could request one once we got to the hotel, but when we arrived, we were told they didn't have any. That was disappointing and something families traveling with babies should be aware of. Besides those issues, our stay was good. For the price we paid, the comfortable bed, cold A/C, and especially the free breakfast, I think it was a good value overall.

I don't know what the bad reviews are about. The room was very clean & the staff was Excellent! I've stayed at several hotels over the years & I must say that I really enjoyed this location. Every staff member I encountered was extremely friendly & always willing to help. The room was cozy & the beds were really comfortable. The area was also nice. Everything you need is right up the road. Gas stations, Dollar Tree, clothing stores, etc. Great location! I'll definitely be back soon for my next beach trip. Thanks for a great stay!

I don't see what the problem is with this hotel from what I heard from the reviews. The interior looks amazing and so are the rooms. When we first got to our room, the beds are comfortable and the bathing experience was relaxing in the bathroom. The only slight problem is that there is a small stain on the ceiling and when you change channels on the TV, the channels names won't show up alongside with showing what channel number it's on. I figured that out when I checked the channel guide that was sitting on the desk, and I noticed that the channel list was outdated. Either way, the breakfast area downstairs in the lobby area is accessible for everyone to use. There's also a pool area and a gym area of the backside of the hotel, but I see that the pool is filled with cement and looks like they're renovating for the pool area to become a much more better pool area. The sleeping experience on the bed was anything I felt before! It felt like I was sleeping on fluffy clouds! From what I seen on the reviews, I saw someone complaining that the walls are dirty, but not our room. Plus, there's no noisy people next door to us.
