Kyle StimThompson Savannah is a stylish boutique hotel just steps from the Savannah River. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We booked through Amex and received several perks, including a room upgrade and daily breakfast credits. Our room was clean and spacious, with a nice view of Savannah. The hotel also features a lovely pool and a rooftop bar with great views, although the food was fairly average. Overall, we had a great stay and appreciated the added benefits of booking through Amex.

Xavi QuintanaThe Thompson Savannah is a beautiful hotel. It feels very new, modern, and extremely well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable, stylish, and very pleasant. Overall, the property itself definitely lives up to what you would expect from a hotel of this level. Unfortunately, the service does not match the standard of the hotel. There are several areas where it could be significantly improved, and throughout our stay we never really felt that the level of attention and hospitality was consistent with the experience the hotel is trying to offer. It’s a shame, because the hotel has everything it needs to be an outstanding property. With a stronger focus on service, attention to detail, and making guests feel genuinely valued, the overall experience could be so much better.

Jake GoldsboroughHad an excellent stay at the Thompson in Savannah. The rooms were very nice, and comfortable, but the star of this hotel is the pool. The 2nd story pool has plenty of deck space, and bar service (most days) which was excellent. The pool deck is shaded in the morning, perfect for those of us who like to do some poolside work on the laptop, but then plenty of sun in the afternoon. Plenty of space and seating on the deck, cabanas you can reserve, and bathrooms. Really wonderful spot. We had excellent service, and Bar Julian on the rooftop was quite nice and had very friendly bartenders. We will be back here on future trips to Savannah, for sure.

Ronald Cooper (Skip)My wife and I just returned home from a three-night stay at the Thompson Savannah celebrating our anniversary. This is the second Thompson we've had the pleasure of staying in and our experience was outstanding. From the moment we checked in we had exceptional service. Our room on the 9th floor was very comfortable with a nice side bathroom. We ate breakfast on the rooftop all three days...it was a nice selection of foods and had one dinner in their dining room. The lamb was killer! Bottom line was we really felt the upscale difference they were offering, and we loved it!

OlenaWe had a wonderful stay and would definitely return! The hotel is beautiful, clean, modern, and very comfortable, with a gorgeous view. We traveled with our dog and really appreciated that pets stay for free. The bathrobes were a nice touch, and because of my Expedia status, I also received a $26 hotel credit. The hotel is a little outside Savannah’s historic district, but the surrounding area is beautiful, clean, and new. We especially loved the complimentary car service that took us to dinner and picked us up afterward—such a thoughtful and convenient amenity! My only suggestion concerns the shower. It has only a fixed overhead showerhead and no handheld shower wand, making it almost impossible to shower without getting your hair wet. If a handheld showerhead isn’t available, providing a shower cap in the room would be a simple and very helpful touch. Overall, an excellent stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!
