We had a really great stay with our two young daughters. We were in the grand suite, two full bathrooms! It was the perfect home base for exploring Savannah. The location was within easy walking distance of all the major sites without being in the hustle of the River district. The neighborhood is safe and elegant, the hotel is gorgeous but clearly an older property. For example, you will lose water pressure when your neighbor turns on their shower. For us though, the location and space for exceed the minor inconvenience of an older building. But what truly made our stay extraordinary was the staff. The valet staff, the bar staff at Proof and Provisions and the front desk staff, everyone, was friendly, helpful and welcoming. True southern hospitality! We highly recommend the DeSoto.

An absolute beautiful hotel with a very warm staff. Marie at check in was an absolute charm. Only small complaint, wish the room had a small fridge. Other than that, beyond were very comfortable, awesome pillows, but most of all clean, very clean!

Me and my husband spent our honeymoon here...Never again. I'm not sure what is the issue but we changed our room and both rooms the air works very poorly. The air works well in the lobby so that let's me know the lower levels are definitely getting proper air circulation. The cleanliness of the rooms could be much the showers are not kept up properly. The staff is nice but I can say I will never waste this much money that I've spent here at this hotel again. No complimentary nights or money back for our unsatisfied stay or anything. The Desoto is just nice on appearance from the lobby but I could have saved this stay for some place else I cant wait to leave.
