I was in the area for work and I really just wanted a nice meal and some bourbon and this place did not disappoint. I got half a dozen oysters for starter, my 2nd time having oysters from Prince Edward Island, truly delightful but I was disappointed that I only got cocktail sauce, lemon, and horseradish to go with these instead of some vinegar and onion which would've gone perfectly with these oysters. My main course I got the scallops with red curry sauce and substituted the risotto instead of the veggies. The scallops themselves were a nice size, nicely cooked, but a little gritty. The risotto was sadly overcooked and not al dente as it should be. I feel like it was a bit bland; if not for the curry sauce for the scallops. There was also some water on my plate, likely from washing the lettuce garnish, that was not appealing. Overall it was edible and tasty enough, but for the price I expected a bit more care with the techniques and plating. For dessert I got the key lime mousse. It tasted great, but reminded me nothing of some of the great key lime pies I've had down in Florida. I feel like more zest was needed to truly bring the lime to the forefront. Overall I enjoyed my meal, presentations were beautiful, my nitpicking is more to hold it to the standard of other restuarants in the same price range I've eaten at. I would definitely come back here if work brings me out again!

We had a great evening at Chive and especially enjoyed sitting at the bar with Logan taking care of us. He was exceptional throughout the night: attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and particularly good with his recommendations. He suggested a 2025 Sancerre from Domaine Serge Laporte in Chavignol that was an excellent choice with our seafood and exactly the kind of recommendation you hope to get from a good bartender. We started with the lobster spring roll special, which was interesting and enjoyable, although probably not the most memorable dish of the evening. We also ordered a Caesar salad that unfortunately never made it to us, but the entrées more than recovered the meal. I had the halibut with crab, which was delicious. The sauce accompanying it was fine, but the fish and crab were really the stars. My wife had the sea bass, and it was outstanding, easily the best dish of the evening. The sauce served with it was particularly memorable and brought the whole dish together beautifully. We had several cocktails as well, and every one of them was excellent. Chive has a terrific atmosphere and ambiance, especially at the bar, and despite the small service miss with the salad, we left having really enjoyed the evening. Logan deserves special recognition. He took exceptional care of us and turned a very good dinner into a memorable experience. We’ll absolutely be back.

I almost don’t have proper words for this magnificent find! We were just passing through Savannah and decided to wait for this little gem to open and boy are we glad we waited!! Upon entering, you are transported into a speakeasy with a mirrored bar and a timeless Alfred Hitchcock movie on the flat screen🥰 Music from the 50’s is floating in the air as we were seated in our own private, inviting booth. The ambiance is superb! The menu is not lengthy but it doesn’t have to be because the food is that delicious 🤤 We enjoyed a special lobster spring roll appetizer with pineapple sauce. Main courses were the rare Ahi tuna from Hawaii along with scallops and a side of orzo. I can’t explain the celebration my tastebuds had when I took my first bite! The tuna was cooked perfectly and it came with a lovely sautéed spinach. The scallops with the red curry sauce was phenomenal! The orzo is actually more like a cheesy Parmesan orzo with cherry tomatoes and was a very pleasant surprise! Absolutely to die for…everything was spectacular! The service was superb with John and the portions were tremendous! We thought we should’ve shared a dinner, but wouldn’t have gotten to experience both dishes which would have been a shame. Or dessert we had the tuxedo bomb and it was just decadent! When in Savannah do not miss this experience! It’s incredible!!!

Looking for an intimate date night? ... this is the place! The food is delicious. The atmosphere is mellow. Jazz over the speakers is soothing. And the customer service is phenomenal! Minour was our server and she made us feel right at home. Bread was warm an delicious (add drawn butter!!!). Seafood egg rolls for an appetizer. Halibut and Chilean sea bass entrees. Old Fashioned libations. Reservations are recommended and most likely necessary. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I loved this place!! The food was absolutely delicious. I got the Chilean sea bass and it was some of the best fish I’ve had. So light, buttery, and flavorful. The orzo was a nice pairing! Our waiter was also very knowledgeable! My fiancé ordered the striped bass, which was good, but the Chilean sea bass was outstanding! Finished the meal off with the red velvet cheesecake and it was really the cherry on top! I am big on ambiance and felt for such high quality food, the decor was not up to the same standard. Not a big deal to some, but definitely makes a difference to me! We will definitely return when visiting Savannah!
