I can’t say enough good things about this place. There is great history to the building if you look it up. I actually proposed to my wife here 11 yrs ago, came here for our wedding dinner 10 yrs ago so had to come back for our 10 yr anniversary. The place seems to get prettier each time and the food was just top notch. The calamari as an app might have been the best calamari I’ve had and we have travelled the world and always try it out. I ordered the lasagna and my wife got the Japanese Waygu Ribeye special. And it was worth every cent. I had to leave a little of my lasagna to finish up her steak.

I hadn't been to Garibaldi's in a while, but I have been dining there for 45 years. I have always loved the Crispy Scored Flounder, and it did not disappoint. It was as delicious as I remembered. I do prefer a little extra apricot glaze on my fish, so I asked our server, Cici, if I could have some more. She asked if it was okay to bring it on the side, and I said absolutely. However, she never mentioned that there would be a $4 charge for the very small cup of additional sauce. I don't have a problem with a restaurant charging for extras, but I do think the diner should be told about the additional charge when ordering so they can decide whether they want it, rather than discovering it when the bill arrives. I was also disappointed with the vegetable side. It included thin strips of squash and green beans, but the green beans were extremely undercooked—very hard and crunchy. I sent them back and specifically asked if they could please be steamed so they would be softer. Unfortunately, they appeared to have simply been sautéed again and came back still very hard and practically raw. I realize some people enjoy very crisp vegetables, but these tasted as though they had just come out of the garden. I would suggest steaming the green beans, at least briefly, before sautéing them so they are fully cooked while still retaining some crispness. After 45 years of enjoying Garibaldi's, I still love the Crispy Scored Flounder and would certainly order it again. I just hope the restaurant will be a little more transparent about extra charges and reconsider how the green beans are prepared.

Cannot fault this place. I told them about my shellfish allergy & they went out of their way to accommodate me. The food is absolutely delicious, with great service and a great atmosphere.
