We enjoyed Spanky’s. We had a pretty big group, but they got a spot for us in less than an hour. Very chill atmosphere. We got the Bang Bang shrimp special and the shrimp poboy with spuds. The spuds were cool. Kind of like a mix between a potato chip and a French fry. Our other food was great too.

RUDE RUDE RUDE hostess would not listen to me when I told her my parents were usable to go upstairs for seating. She said there were no tables on main floor yet I stepped in and 20 feet away was 4 tables pushed together that hadn't been bussed. I said: are those not tables the 4 of us could eat at??? She actually said they weren't available but thankfully a waiter overheard and IMMEDIATELY cleared a table for us. I can't recall if his name was Kyle or Cole (both guys were great... one being the new server & the other being the bartender). When I told the bartender about the lack of service and rudeness of the lazy hostess, he thanked me for telling him & said many have complained about her so hopefully she is gone! Re: food... crabcake was awful & shrimp quesodilla (sp?) looked plain/ boring but my mother didnt complain. (My dad was disappointed he could only get fried grouper (no grilled options available.) Can't even recall what my husband had, so it was obviously nothing to be excited about. Pity night... only went there bc Bubba Gumbo's wait was too long.

Excellent food. Little pricey but it was the 4th so that's expected. Atmosphere was relaxing and very casual. Would definitely recommend to others.
