Visiting the Savannah River was one of the highlights of my time in Savannah. The river gives the city its unique character and charm. Walking along the waterfront while watching massive cargo ships pass by creates a fascinating contrast between Savannah’s historic beauty and its importance as a modern port city. The views are spectacular, especially at sunset and in the evening when the lights from River Street reflect on the water. The atmosphere is relaxing, scenic, and full of Southern charm. One of the things that impressed me most was seeing the enormous ships navigating the river. As an engineer, I found it fascinating to watch these vessels move through the channel while appreciating the scale of the port operations. Whether you are strolling along River Street, enjoying a meal with a river view, or simply watching the ships pass by, the Savannah River offers an unforgettable experience. Overall, a must see attraction in Savannah beautiful, historic, and full of life.

Ville typique de la côte Est des USA. Très animée. De nombreux squares et jardins ponctuent le centre ville. Arbres à l'allure particulière avec lianes tombantes. Cathédrale construite en 1802 par les colons Français. Promenade très agréable le long du port. Visite du centre ville en trolley bus réhabilitée. Cimetière historique qui se visite en voiturettes de golf. Mérite le détour et une visite de la ville.
