The lighthouse is very well presented and kept in great shape! It's a steep walk to the top but the view is great. There's places to rest on your way up and down the steps. The Keepers' buildings are displayed nicely. Don't miss the 'bunker' building down the street.
May 29, 2026 · Google ReviewCool little site with a large amount of information packed inside. Can climb the lighthouse and look inside the housekeepers homes. Very very cool! They do shut down for thunder/lightning. So old advise visiting in the AM.
Jun 19, 2026 · Google ReviewTybee Island Light Station was easy to get to and has free onsite parking. Just make sure that you talk to the parking lot attendant when you arrive. There is a time limit to the parking lot. Entrance into the light house also includes several small lighthouse museums to visit to learn more about the site. Only 25 people are allowed inside the tower at a time, so there may be a small wait to climb the tower. If you collect light house stamps you will collect it in the gift shop at the counter.
May 28, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is a great place to visit if you're visiting the beach it's close by there's fort Pulaski and it's a very calm island not oversaturated with beach shops or anything like that. It's a very relaxing place and this lighthouse has a lot of history This is the third one that was built here. If you're into maritime history You should definitely visit.
Feb 19, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is a very nice lighthouse museum. There's several buildings to look around in addition to the lighthouse. I loved that you are allowed to climb to the top and go outside to see the view. Your admission also gets you into the Battery museum across the street.
